...and after the long wait, we are back. 4 gameweeks to go till end of the season.
Bally, Serenity and Yakutzenal all have testing ties today. Could we see some slip ups? Bhaveshgorsia has an excellent chance to close the gap on keeperless Hutchalution, while my 74ers are in a 6 pointer mid-table clash with the Dragons. Good luck all and I hope you are enjoying your Holidays.
Big day for my fantasy football team with 10 out of my 11 players playing today and 8 of them spread over just 3 teams. Big risk for me, but feeling confident with Manny and Rafa up against the scum.
Things have gone from bad to worse for me, as Kuyt starts on the bench and Gerrard is nowhere to be seen. Why did this have to happen this week of all weeks.
Also, just realised I completely forgot to sign Doni, Liverpool 2nd choice keeper, since Reina was banned for 3 matches. Could've done me some good considering my keepers have conceded 7 in last 2. Think I need to fire my goalkeeper coach.
Massive night tonight for those in the title chase. TSO has a good opportunity to take some points off Bally, while Serenity and Simonics are locked in a tight battle.
FC Serenity edged a 1-0 win in a tight match with Simonics to keep alive their title hopes. Serenity's defence was on form, to keep an important clean sheet, as the side stay 3 points behind, though Bally's Badgers were able to close some of their goal difference deficit in their 4-1 win. The scoreline makes the game look easier than it was. Van Persie popped up on Wednesday night to give Bally a crucial two goal cushion. Though TSO hit back, it proved to be a consolation goal, as Bally romped to a comfortable win in the end.
Yakutzenal put in the most impressive attacking performance of the season scoring 51 attacking points (6 goals, 3 assists) to win 7-2, a record scoreline for the game and the 2nd time a team has hit 7 this season. As good as the attacking performance was, it was helped by a Unicorns defence that folded due to penalties. Outside of this, it was a decent performance from Funk Unicorns, who can feel hard done meeting Yakutzenal on such a strong week. Yakutzenal continue their rich goal scoring form, with 20 goals in just 5 matches. It is unlikely to be enough for the title though, as they remain 6 points adrift with 3 games to go. It appears their defence may have cost them the title.
Jackyorks Dragons were able to close in on 5th, 2 points behind now, with a win against Season 74ers, whose squad was torn apart by absentees. Bhaveshgorsia open the battle at the bottom wide open with another strong win, 3-0 against the fading fast Hutchalution. There is now 3 points between 7th and last.
I'd consider outbidding you for Maxi if I could rely on him getting the games. I don't understand why they don't give him a chance considering the thing they're most lacking is people to put the ball in the net and he's always finding himself in goalscoring positions.

Well jokes on me, as neither of these 2 play and their replacement Defoe has now scored for Jackyork.
No Drenthe or Cahill either. Think our match will be over pretty early here Jack, as Gerrard will probably be my only first choice starter. Ouch.

I could do with some goals from Gerrard or Kuyt tonight.

Crucial goal for Bally. May this be the night he moves clear, with just 3 games to go...

Despite a good start to the night for Funk, Yakutzenal further opens the gap.

I was beginning to wonder where you'd been. Yeah. Was a good result for you. Looked a tad dodgy for a little bit.
Think that means I get the first 3 in my squad and the other 2 are pending?
Doesn't the window close on Thursday?
Fab, we can't withdraw bids once made. I think your bids should from last night should still be counted.
These were the bids you did make last night...
Release Adam
£10m for Maxi
£6m for J Gomez
£8m for Duff
£7m for Dorrans
£7m for Gueye
