Favourite film logo?
Do you have any favourite film company logos/intros?
I do like the new Universal one:

And how Universal have changed over the years:

A lot of good 80's films seemed to start with this one:

And then there are a lot of one off specials for films such as this one for Coming To America:

I also have vague recollections of the Starship Enterprise flying through the Paramount stars, but can't find it anywhere.
Anyway do you have any favourites?

And the recent Studiocanal logo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTBwY6cWPII
Film logos that pretty much dominated my formative years:
Touchstone
Toei (YouTube)
Tri-Star (YouTube)
Golden Harvest (YouTube)
and the usual suspects (Universal, 20th Century, etc.)
I loathe Castle Rock the most. (YouTube) I have no idea why. It simply and deeply irritates me. As a kid, I loathe Disney's castle, fireworks and Tinkerbell logo. Every time Tinkerbell came up, I wanted to punch the screen. I can't find it on YouTube, though. Weird.
THX
Walt Disney Pictures (1990-2006) So nostalgic seeing this now and a great shame Disney haven't included it on their blu-rays of older films released from around this period. Though the new castle logo is very nice.
New Line Cinema I've always loved this one, with the animated 35mm film flying through. In the early years this logo didn't have the familiar jingle, just silence!
MGM No Bond film would be complete without that lion roaring!
I'm pretty sure that was Rank.
Of the more recent intros I do like Dreamworks little variations they do for many of their animated movies.
That original one is still the best imo.
I like the Harry Potter Warner Bros logos.
I imagine for many it's a very famous/nostalgic musical precursor too. A short pause, and then the Star Wars theme kicks in. But that's a thing of the past now isn't it, eh? A long time ago...
Always loved the Columbia one most of all (now with graceful moving clouds). Reminds me of an usherette holding her torch over our tiny heads. Any empty seats? Sigh.
Others: some of the old ones from the thirties (RKO, Universal etc) and the lovely, grainy CFF one is another for the heart-strings:

In the modern era, I very much like the Scott Free animation:

This is the logo I always associate with Bond http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ho0bIMYKqc
The one for Ice Age 3 springs to mind (sorry, no good copy of it online!)

I also like the Castle Rock Logo

Then there is Jim Henson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTA0dUSc4vE
Lions Gate

And my favourite
Toei

lol
I always thought that connoted Sci-fi.
I think I like the classic MGM with the lion roaring. Also the Warner Bros is quite bright and vibrant and the Disney, Buena Vista one is always nice. The PIXAR one with the lamp hopping along the word is also simple and effective.
