Perhaps I have missed it but why has the 5S not got much interest here?
I was asked about it last week, did a search here and found nothing. Is it not that interesting to discuss?

It's just the conversation always goes rapidly downhill when anything Apple comes up and end in an Apple vs Android boreathon discussion.
As iOS7 was released separately (and discussed here), I guess there's not much else to add? Or is there? I reckon Apple should've followed the Nexus line and introduced iOS7 on the new devies only for a little while at least (although I'm not sure the new Fisher Price look to iOS is universally popular, so that may have been risky).
Aside from a better camera, 64-bit A7 processor (hardware geeks only territory) and seemingly flawed Touch ID fingerprint sensor, what else is there to discuss when comparing to the previous one? My bet would be you may get some camera-related discussions going but that's about it.
Its exactly this. Not much of a change.
And you should know by now its daft comments like this that kick it off.....
It happens when Android discussions come up as well. Not just the one way street you think it is!

I've got the 5s had it since last Wednesday and theres nothing wrong with the touch ID the few times it hasn't worked has been my fault not doing it properly.
I upgraded from a 4 so the difference is huge the phone is so fast and light.
Same here, had mine for almost two weeks now and very pleased with it. I've had Apple maps crash on me a couple of times but no other issues so far. Huge improvement from the 4 and it's easier to appreciate ios 7 on a device that actually supports it!
Well trained
Oh wow what a shock swordman posts a condescending insulting remark on an Apple thread
Ever heard of the pot calling the kettle black.
I have an iphone5 and was wondering if anybody knows ( if there is such a way ) to look at a txt message when I am speaking at the same time? Thanks for any info:)
Just press the home button and it will bring up your phone menu and you can just click on messages without ending your call.
Yes, of course you can. First, put your call on speakerphone, then press the home button while talking to minimize the Phone app, then navigate to the Messages app. Read.
It sounds so simple:o
Thank you both for your help:)
'It just works' for me. No blue screen issues or increase with app crashes where they have been updated for iOS7 here.
Far more stable and easier to use than my other phone Nokia 1020.
Looking less bashed and worn too. (Yellow vs Slate
Already wishing my iPad had fingerprint scanning, with my other half laughing at new every time I pick up forget it doesn't do it haha.
FYI it doesn't work with sweaty gym fingers, rain on the sensor but it does work with pet paws.. I kid you not.
Only fault I can muster a negative about is the gyro being off a few degrees but I'll blame the Germans for that. I'm sure it will be sorted.
I agree about the lack of them, still one of my office colleagues waiting (since launch day) for delivery. Gold 64gig
Had mine at 11am launch day delivered... :)The Nokia was waiting for me at work, that was a good day
I spent 11 mins the other day trying to get into my 4 using my finger! D'oh! You get used to it so quickly.
So does every phone i have ever had!
Is the Nokia really not very stable?
Every nokia i have ever used has been perfectly stable and i still don't buy the apple easy to use argument!!
Unless you are completely moronic and thick as shit, ios is no easier to use than any other mobile OS. It however now does look even more playschool like than it ever did
'It just works'
I largely agree, things have got better lately. However seeing the amount of dead/dying/partially working HTC's (not the one it's fairly hardy), Sammy's, Huawei (mifi's), LG's (Nexus), Crapberry's (boohiss) etc.
Being replaced with Sony's, Apples and the new S4, which then seem to be the survivors in this environment.
There is a guy here with a 4S that has been dropped, run over, and put through a partial wash (so has his cat apparently) which still works. Cracked both sides but still works. I think he's unluckily.. Lucky tho.
And again the latest version if Android is stable many used to complain about crashing and other issues that needed buggering about to sort. Not even going to bother commenting about Windows Mobile which most of the time does my nut it.
EDIT seeing last comment I will: It is largely stable but when it crashes it properly craps itself. Where as Android doesn't and thats it, your back to square one ie need to retake pic or rewrite message etc and usually iOS7 will have saved some data before crashing ie texts, the pic you took causing the crash or the like. Both Android & IOS7 allow you to reopen the app where as with Nokia 1020 for example, it doesn't work properly/sluggish after a crash so requires off/on procedure. Then the app may not work first time too and crash again (probably in process of trying to reassemble data at crash, can't then deletes it, panics then craps itself again and crashes) to be fair it doesn't do it often but when it does it likes to act like a drunk Scandinavian. Loud & Proud about it.
I moved from a 4 to a 5S though - which is a BIG difference in terms of speed and processing ability. Even flicking through Facebook used to be painful on my 4. Now I can just swipe all the way down with ease.
I'm not enjoying the lightning connector though ... I'd rather have the old style connector and a slightly thicker phone - it's expensive to buy lots of cables or bluetooth adapters for docks you already have.
Was a lifesaver for me the last couple of days. I have been driving in Nairobi and Nakuru in Kenya using Google maps as my satnav. Only problem is I forgot to bring a car cigar lighter adapter like I usually do and the phone kept timing out and switching off. No drama with touch Id but had I had to type a passcode each time while coping with African traffic, well it doesn't bear thinking about. People who say it is a gimmick just haven't a clue.
I've got straight to 7.0.3 and removed the unneeded transitions when unlocking the phone which makes it seem a lot quicker.
And you should know by now its daft comments like this that kick it off.....

Its dull posters that kick it off...and I've not said it was a one way street either...it's comments like that that kick things off
Yeah i've noticed since the update the fingerprint ID unlock seems even quicker.
Also the update appears to have fixed the gyro issues.
