You seem to be rather fond of Jamelia but she wouldn't like you with your text speak.
By the way (Jamelia would like my full spelling of this commonly abbreviated phrase) do you seriously think you're going to get away with swearing at me?
"Thank You" went to number 1. Your own ignorance of her accomplishments does not make them any less relevant, just shows you to be uninformed and perhaps selectively shielding yourself from the mainstream media.
When was that number one as a matter of interest?
Recent was it?
Is there not a point when you can no longer regard yourself as a popstar when you don't sing any more or release any material new or old?
Milf just means she's a mum and you fancy her. The term doesn't say anything about the relative ages. Sure it would be odd for a bloke to use that term about a woman much younger than him, but the term just means 'she's had kids but I still would'. It's pretty much just an ironic, humorous, self-knowingly ridiculous term anyway.
BIB - now that you mention it, I remember that as well. She made a big thing about it too.
She did make a song and dance about it, you're right - the only singing she's done in a long time.
To the poster on the defensive about Jamelia - I really wasn't trying to be unnecessarily harsh on her, I don't mind her, it's just that I expect guests with better credentials on a prime time BBC show on a Friday night.
I've been quite disappointed at the calibre of the guests to date.
I think the show has been mediocre when it has the potential to be great.
Frank is good, having 3 competing panellists works but it's not quite there.
Guests should only be invited if they have the courage of their convictions, they should have the balls to speak their mind and really be honest about their dislikes.
Some of them are pussy-footing about, afraid to upset anybody and fooling no-one with their mock indignance.
Ross Noble is a good example - he's supposed to be a cutting edge comedian and he picked folk dancing - really? Is that not just an easy, safe target.
Like another poster, I thought for one brief moment he was going to chose Scotland or the Scots - now that would have been interesting.:D
I'm no fan of Fern Britten but at least she wasn't afraid to incur the wrath of the sci-fi community.
Chris Packham has been my favourite guest so far, I believed his selections.
There needs to be controversial choices if the show is to be worth watching or else it's instantly forgettable and pointless.
I want to hear the audience gasp at the choices, I want to be surprised/shocked myself.
It's also good when there are repercussions for the guests because of their choices - remember Gordon Ramsay and the taxi drivers.
I do like the show and will continue to watch, I would just like it to step up a gear.
Amid all of this I thought Germaine Greer was the weakest of the guests because most of her arguments were half baked.
With some of her choices I was in full agreement but for someone of her intelligence it was if she didn't really care at all and didn't put much thought into her arguments.
Someone like Jamelia must have half her intelligence but because she was passionate about what she had picked she came over much better imo.
Most of the time it was as if GG wasn't there at all....
I have to agree about the poor calibre of the guests.
Jamelia - she's a pretty and pleasant enough woman, but what is her claim to fame and why does she behave like a 10 year old girl? Someone said she was funny and entertaining - she was neither - ten minutes would be almost too much, half an hour was far too long to be in her company. Luckily no-one has claimed she is bright, because that would take some arguing.
Both Germaine Greer and Ross Noble are interesting, funny and entertaining but would be better in the old format and where the guest is allowed to say and pick what they want. And why make it into a competition? Completely pointless.
This is sanitised, edited and pappy stuff. No wonder Frank seems bored - he must be feeling guilty about taking the wages.

I know. I was being ironic.
Yes I do. Because I didn't swear at you. Abbreviated form doesn't count. Otherwise half the wrestling discussion group would be banned since one of the wrestler's uses a move called the FU and another uses one called WTF, what the funk?
Was it recent? No. But it's in the record books so whether it happened 10 years ago or last week, it's still a lasting accomplishment on public record due to its high sales that week that earned in the number one spot.

Thank you. See? Us guys know what we mean when we say it and why we use it when we use it.

No, you guys obviously don't know what it means  Finding a woman your own age attractive, who happens to have a child isn't unusual. I presume that neither of you have watched American Pie

...
Who said this had anything to do with the unusual?
It's a description, not a fetish.
Mother I'd Like to eff you see kay is as direct as it gets. There is no statutes, implied or imagined or real, suggesting they have to over 40.
Hell, my friend Shaz is 27 with two kids, she's happy to be called a MILF. It's not some classification to marginalise women of a certain age and in fact I find it hilarious you want to confuse the issue of a cougar, an older lady who has relationships with younger men, with a MILF, who can be of any age as long as she has kids and is attractive. Seriously, I've grown up with the slang, I know exactly what it means. I saw American Pie when I was 15 for God's sake, this is the slang of my era and I actually find it hilarious someone older than me is trying to correct me on my own generation's slang. Next you'll be trying to tell me what "neek" really means or "blem" actually is. It'd be as stupid as me trying to tell you what "pigs" and "oiks" and "tinkerbilly" means.

I don't know how old you are but I'm 21, therefore I have also grown up with this slang and it's apart of my 'generation' or 'era' as you suggest. In what way am I trying to marginalize women over 40 I just said it's maybe not usual to find a person old enough to be your parent sexually attractive. Surely by your reasoning you are marginalizing all women with children. In American pie it was used by teenagers to describe their friends mums - the proper usage of the word . - get it right.

What are you talking about? I'm 20, I've seen all the American Pies. What exactly does that have to do with what MILF means? It's a mum you want to sleep with, that's it. This really doesn't need any further discussion.
As for the latest ep, I find Hilary an awful woman. I can't stand her. When she was talking about her homes I wanted to throw something at her. She's a person who is trying to buy class, which you can't. She's still common as muck to me.
Don't think this revamped series is working at all. It's too superficial and rushed. Also what's the point of having three guests when they don't comment on each other's choices?
I agree about Valentine's Day - load of hype. I also agreed with Josh Groban's wildcard - autotuning! Excellent choice and he made a good point about it being for people who cannot sing!

You make a very good point TBH.
I do think having 3 guests makes the show feel 'cramped'.
Yesterday's show was a let down. The guests were just not up to scratch.
it looked like the Josh bloke had lost interest by the end.
And Hilary? She hasn't got much going for her in all respects.
I'd rather kiss Scary Mary from the Phones 4 U ads.

Most people who watch porn aren't as old as you, milf models are usually middle aged women.

Valentine's Day exists only to put men under huge pressure & it needs banning, I tell thee!!!:p
I agree with you there, and Im a girl!! Its too commercial and means nothing!!
I forgot....did the pets being dressed up go in.....?
It's only in the past couple of weeks that I'v heard of Josh Groban...he sings, doesn't he.
