iPad 2 & Heat Magazine App

Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct part of the forums to discuss this.
I am a big fan of Heat Magazine and jumped at the chance of subscribing via the Heat App on my iPad 2.
I am having major problems with the app whereby the magazine hangs when I am trying to download the current issue and is currently hanging at 74%.
I have about 5gb of space still on the iPad and have tried all permutations with ultimately restoring the iPad to try to rectify this, but it still hangs.
I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with this and am open to suggestions.
I have attempted to contact Heat via social media and email but they have not returned my messages.
in short, HELP!!
