Robert Vaughn (80)
David McCallum (79) (from 1958 classic Titanic film A Night to Remember to Ducky in NCIS, via The Great Escape, The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Man From Uncle, Colditz, Sapphire & Steel)
Last of the great American singers? Bruce Springsteen fans might have something to say about that. Last of the old school easy listening singers might be a better way of putting it.
And I'd be one of those Boss fans. Bruce is a true all time great, a titan.
Sir David's older brother Lord Richard will also be sadly missed, a big name in the British cinema since the 1940's. He will be 90 in August and now lives in an Actors Rest Home.

An incredibly talented family really. And I've never heard a bad thing said about either of them.
I know she's retired and in incredibly poor health but the passing of ZaZa Gabor will mark the end of an era.
I know I've mentioned this before but its now two and a half years since my husband died, We were in the car with the radio on one day, months before he died, and Zsa-Zsa was mentioned. My husband remarked............Jeez is she not deed yet.
OK........I'll give you that one.:p
He does sound good there...........and hes even wearing a school uniform.:D
I'm someone who will always defend Cliff but something went wrong badly at the Jubilee concert & I honestly thought he was getting 'past' it...but having read the reviews for his new tour down under he is getting staggering reviews on how great he sounds so I'm not quiet sure what the hell went wrong at the Jubilee
Now as far as this thread goes
Sir Cliff Richard will be the one that upsets me most having been a fan since I was about 3
Ronnie Corbett will as well as I believe the two Ronnies are the finest double act this country has ever had so will be sad when he goes
Robert De Niro will be another as he has had some of the most iconic roles in film history

The last great classic Horror icon. For me personally when I think classic horror I think
Bela Lugosi
Boris Karloff
Vincent Price
Peter Cushing
Christopher Lee (the only one still alive)
I know what you mean. The trouble is, people don't find those kind of movies scary anymore. They're almost family films now.
Barbara Windsor
Joan Collins
Ralph Waite - the Waltons
Roger Moore
Dame Vera Lynn
Yeah I would have said Brucie, and David Jason.
What era would that be? Not as if she was a major actress.
Now Lauren Bacall is a different story.

.......and she's still hangin on in there.
The era of the Hollywood glamorous face. I'm thinking more of the reaction rather than actual impact.
When she goes it'll be MASSIVE.
Hopefully wont be for a looooong time!
Vera Lynn
David Attenborough
Maggie Thatcher
There'll be wall to wall coverage when these people die
It'll be interesting what its like when the Queen goes, as most of us on DS will never have witnessed the death of and coronation of a monarch.
I can imagine that all television will be a BORE for 2-3 days as wall to wall TV mourning mode will be activated.
Let's hope they don't end up regretting it very soon afterwards in the same way...........:o
Ken Dodd.
Cliff Richard (both the polite official tributes and all the stuff hitting the fan, I shouldn't wonder.....;))
