Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 6/10. Some parts were good but it was a bit long and drawn out compared to some of the other HP movies.

Seven Pyschopaths. 7/10...made better by an excellent cast.

Prometheus - 7/10 maybe. It was alright. Felt like a reboot of the original with much the same plot line and incidents with a new (old) crew. Given the choice I'd probably still watch the original.

Frankenweenie - 10/10, loved it, even if it did make me cry twice. Brilliant movie, would definitely recommend (to people who like animated movies at least).

Star Trek: Into Darkness - 7/10. It had an awesome build up, in my opinion. I'm not a Trekkie, but I genuinely enjoyed the movie. I felt like the ending was just completely underwhelming, and was left with a "Was that it?" feeling when leaving the cinema.

Just watched a couple of clips in Kermode's review piece on BBC News. he loved it. Looks to me like it's more of the same "running about in a shaky oil refinery" to distract from the lack of story. And a somewhat pointless baddie. Much like the first one.

I'll wait for tv I think.

    Spiderman 2 - 3/10

    Atrocious

Really?? Its the best one by far methinks, hard to see what more you could expect from a film about a spider man

I'd agree it was the best one by far, and I would also agree with a score of 3/10.

    The Impossible - 10/10

Absolutely cannot fault this film, amazing acting by all especially Tom Holland who is breath-takingly incredible. Such a powerful film.

    Beginners [2010]. Director: Mike Mills

    5/10

Quirky verging on irritating. Christopher Plummer won loads of awards (including an Oscar) for his flashback scenes as a father who comes out as gay in his mid 70's after his wife's death and 38 years of marriage.

    Primer.

I'm pretty good with time travel films, but that one lost me completely.

Alan Bennets 'The History Boys' 9/10
Had seen it before a few years ago when
it came out,but had forgotten that almost
every line of dialogue is a pure gem!
And the late Richard Griffith of course,
teamed with Frances De La Tour,as a
pair of teachers united against the insipid
    and overbearing pompous headmaster,a
part brilliantly played by Clive Merrison!

Prometheus - 5/10 - 2nd viewing on sky and it doesn't get much better, such wasted potential.

I got pulled in to that film again too. What a striking resemblance the teenager had to De Niro. Very sad that he ended up in jail IRL for burglary...what a waste. Didn't heed the advice of the film :(

7 Psychopaths 8/10. I could watch Sam Rockwell in anything. Even Ironman.

Star Trek - Into Darkness (2013)

I saw this film yesterday and I thought it was an enjoyable sci fi adventure. The writers had clearly tried to keep the characters consistent and the plot line was coherent. I thought the humour element worked and Benedict Cumberbatch did well as a menacing villain.

    8/10

I watched a film called 'Vinyad' last night and it was good but weird, one of those films I think you have to watch more than once to get.
    Weird ending though....

    Dead Mine - 7/10

Rarely do I think movies deserve higher imdb scores, but this movie deserves higher than the 4.4 its at currently.
