The weather has turned here and we have bright sunshine.Still need a cardi as the winds are strong and keeping the temp down, but it is definitely springlike.:D
After and unscheduled cooking frenzy in the week, I am left with a 'free' Saturday morning.I will just have to do nothing much, shouldn't be difficult....
Celeste is sitting on our dressing table in the bay window, all bushed up and growling at one of the scary owls which she has just noticed through the window. She is not happy as she usually sits there and bird watches, first thing... It is doing it's job though....

What are scary owls? Aren't they asleep during the day?
It looks pretty bad in Scotland, wish drivers would understand that sudden movements on snowy roads, such as accelerating, steering, braking too sudden or severe will cause the vehicle to travel in the line of least resistance which is usually straight on in the direction of momentum.
Plus most drivers have the wrong tyres so they are us in temperatures below 7C, and they don't have the right tread so they have no grip.
Obviously public transport drivers don't pay any heed to your preachings either.........the number of buses which have lost control recently...........
I thiiink this link will work
This is Rupert in the video dated 8th March - he is the tiny one at the beginning of the video, eating a bone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEIbgaOOH8w
I haven't taken any photos yet - my camera is hiding from me
You'd better get knitting him a red jersey, you can buy him a scarf HERE
I think it was mentioned briefly, and England gets mentioned by each area but Scotland is assigned one weather for the whole of the country.
We have no choice but but to stay in being warm and safe. despite it only being a very light covering here everything has been cancelled and the trains are "subject to delay"
Yes, because it's such a small place we all live together in one village, in fact most of the time we all live in the same house.
We love birds but not the mites they leave behind when they leave their nests. Having a curly roof with space for literally dozens of nests is a real nuisance and we never , ever want another infestation, it was a nightmare...:(
A friend that several posters on here know had to move house because of them.

hahaha, I thought you meant REAL owls
There is a fake owl on one of the roofs near here- I see pigeons sitting on it's head

Difficult to perch on these as they have wobbly heads. They really work in our situation, our last one blew down and shattered in a gale. The birds fly by, see them and are discouraged from approaching. The biggest birds, apart from real owls that we have round here, are magpies and they don't like them either. When we installed the previous one, our fainting cat, Spiro, jumped onto the balcony wall, saw it, and passed out with shock...

Loads of bliddy snow everywhere
I wish there was a way we could dump it all on Flora (who is probably hopefully doing a daily snow dance, but getting the region wrongg) and then we would all be happy....
