The two most underrated games I have played are Just Cause 2 , and The Sabouteur. Both are brilliant 3rd person action/ adventures , but sadly I don't think either game will get a follow up

Sorry, I don't. Square Enix will probably reveal some information when the marketing campaign starts.
Basically the story was far far too short. 7 missions and you do 2 before you get to explore. I found I was getting to the next story mission so fast I didn't have time to do the gang quests, I liked the look of the red gang best, so did all the others first (saving the best til last) but finished the game long before I'd done with the other 2. Chaos was a great idea, but it should never have been used a story trigger as once I'd unlocked a town/settlement etc. I'd want to 100% it.
Also the end game is bugged so you can't 100% complete it. Nor is there any reward for actually playing past the story. I was all done at 26% and saw little reason to carry on seeing as I was never going to get the figure to 100% nor unlock anything more.
If Just Cause 3 features similar gameplay and actually features in a full 1-100% experience (like GTA) then it could do really really well. I just felt I'd only touched a quarter of the game and completed it.
Only news i've heard is that they registered the domain just cause 4
Which really gives me hope they'll do a third game, it would be so in the style on the game is just cause 3 was called just cause 4
And i agree with the OP they are probably the to most overrated games this generation
I'd include Bulletstorm as well
I agree. With all the hype about COD and Battlefield, it feels like this one has flown completely under the radar, Which is a shame, because it's brilliant.
I did mean underrated, not sure how that escaped my notice when i typed it out

Not really a fan of rap or 50 Cent himself, but the game was just a whole load of explosions and fun. Played it through in Co-Op with a friend and some of the set pieces were so over the top it was ridiculous, but I enjoyed the heck out of it.
Original Killzone, hyped to hell but in reflection a good competent game which is fun
Yep, both were crazily underrated. I loved both and still them them quite often (to get 100% - takes bloody forever).
For me, Yakuza 4 was underrated too.
I would have to say:
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, The Darkness [ 1 & 2], Condemned [1 & 2], Lost Planet and Dark sector.
Haven't played Just Cause 2 yet be meaning to, just haven't got round to buying it yet!
I would also add Darksiders which was awesome, really glad that got a sequel as well.
Mini Ninjas is also a great little action adventure game most people have overlooked but its actually pretty good fun.
If we are also including Network games then PixelJunk Eden which is probably my favourite game from the whole PixelJunk series. Flow probably Thatgamecompany best game as well but Journey and Flower get all the attention.
I agree with Far Cry 2 and Assassins Creed but I do understand the criticism those games received.
Just thought of a very under-rated series of games, Guitar Hero. Sadly I don't think enough people bought them as there not being made anymore
It's funny but I much preferred Mercenaries 2 World in Flames to Just Cause 2 and most sandbox games made this gen actually, yet it only received average to poor reviews/feedback. I attribute a lot of that to the poor graphics but look past that and it's a great game imo. Shame we won't ever see a third installment.
Jericho was also another good game, and an interesting one too that was burred beneath the blockbusters.
Sonic Colours - Well received but underrated by the many gamers who seem to forget it when the subject of great Sonic games is brought up, Generations is seen as a "return to form" but Colours done it bigger and better a year before on "inferior" hardware. Truly the best 3D/modern Sonic game yet.
Red Steel 2 - A game no-one talks about, yet is better than many FPS released on current gen hardware. Super smooth 60fps (on the poor little Wii!) with some very original gameplay concepts, one of the best examples of motion gaming and is a far more rewarding gaming experience than the vastly overrated Borderlands, another cell shaded shooter, only with RPG elements.
Lastly Rare's output this gen has been great, but most don't seem to think so. Kameo was one of the best platformers of this gen, Banjo Kazooie N&B took some getting into but when you did there's nothing else quite like it! Viva Pinata; fun and original Garden Sim/strategy game. Even Perfect Dark Zero was great.
Once I got used to it I really liked how the Black and White picture changing into colour as you liberated areas.
While both AC and FC2 received good reviews at the time they have also received a load of criticism from people who played them. Personally I loved both, whether they are underrated, I dont know, but I really enjoyed them and find a lot of the criticism they received to be unfair in a lot of respects.
Mercenaries 2 was an awesome game let down by a lot of niggling bugs, it was easy for the HVT to get killed which required a lot of reloading and back tracking if you wanted to capture them all alive and the coop mode while fun had an annoyingly small radius around the host (Although to be fair its still better than the nothing JC2 offered in that department). The speech also became annoying after a while as you got told about Lake Maracaibo about a million times (Not isolated to this game but it really annoyed me on this game).
Going for the full HVT capture trophy was the most fun thing about Mercs 2. It was annoying when they died via indirect gunfire/falling down a cliff etc but that was half the fun and only made it so satisfying when you got them. No, it's not perfect, it doesn't pretend to be but it's a game that really hooked me, even more than the original. No other game on PS3 compelled me to go for a full platinum.
My game crashed while on the loading screen and now it won't load up
