Got this dress yesterday. Also go a long black one from Primark with studs round the neck, I already have a patterned grey one which I like, think they are great for a tenner.

Bought this, was a wildcard bargain from amazon.. It's so cheap that its a tad embarrassing
I absolutely LOVE it, it fits perfectly and its extremely flattering.
Only problem- its ridiculously short. I am quite busty and have a round bum, which seem to make it shorter than it would be if I was so busty and bummy.
Any suggestions to make it more appropriate would be gratefully received, as I can't wear it out at the moment. I'm a 30 year old mother and its just not appropriate. I did think about wearing a pencil shirt with it, but it doesn't work so well/looks a bit daft.
Maybe I should try darker tights?
I'm conscious of my legs as they are chunky, so really would rather hide them. I thought the dress would be a couple of inches above my knees at most, not an inch below my bottom!
I'm gutted as I really wanted to wear this out for my date night with my husband in a few weeks, but there's no way I can leave the house in it
You could wear that dress with black jeans or a pencil skirt ?
Oo I didn't think of black jeans, I have a pair of black skinnies that might work, will try them later, thank you
I tried a pencil skirt but it looked a bit odd, although I did pull the dress over the skirt and not under so will try it with a pencil but wear it over the bottom of dress and see how that looks, thanks
Yesterday I went to Peacocks as they are having a 70% off sale. I bought a longline silvery cardigan, a lovely blouse and a sort of satin wrap type top. All beautiful, and the total cost was £18 !!! I will wear all three with jeans when im going out the pub for a meal.
I bought a pair of black leather stiletto shoe-boots from Schuh. They were reduced from £70 to £34.99, and are a lot higher than what I'd normally wear, although surprisingly comfy.

It is a very flattering fit on me, plus I had a gift card for New Look so didn't pay a penny for it.:D

So I bought this one for £80 (normal price £100, well, £99).
I think I look quite good in it
Does it have good grip?
I've bought shoe claws to fit over my shoes in preparation for icy pavements
and they are got a bit big for me now haha as they are in large sizes as i was large back then
Yep, fine enough for ordinary winter rain, etc., Ovalteenie, but for snow, ice etc. I generally use my heavy duty work boots when I go out.
