Anyone else a fan? I'm off to see him tonight and looking forward to it immensely.

A very talented chap indeed, could teach a lot of todays so called "talent" in the charts a thing or two.

    Saw him on Sunday, awesome.

Get there for the support acts. Tim Barry and Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun are both great as well.

Yeah he was great. The supports were both decent too.

Did a new song called Four Simple Words that was absolutely fantastic.

A friend of mine introduced me to his music a few weeks ago. The first one that I heard was "heartless bastard mother****er" :D I'm intrigued...which songs do you recommend?

That song is actually a B-Side. All five of his albums are brilliant (he's also got two b-sides and raritys albums that are fab too).

Very hard to recommend individual songs as I love pretty much everything he's done but off the top of my head:

    The Real Damage
    Fathers Day
    A Decent Cup Of Tea
The Ballad of Me and My Friends
I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous
    Photosynthesis
    Substitute
    Long Live the Queen
    Try This At Home
    Peggy Sang The Blues
    I Still Believe
    I Am Disappeared
    Recovery
The Way I Tend to Be
    Plain Sailing Weather
    Four Simple Words

I'd just give all his albums a listen to be honest. He's fantastic.

While I do like his music, especially Photosynthesis and Wessex Boy (I can identify with both), he is a bit of a fraud. The public school, Hampshire country village upbringing is not exactly pushed as part of the image, is it?

In what way is he a fraud? He's never denied his upbringing, going to Eton etc. I've heard him speak about it openly in interviews.
