Yeah because what the BBC really needs is that loathsome little lowest common denominator game show host anywhere near its decision making processes.

I really do miss that decade or so where his career tanked and we didn't have him smarming up our TV sets.

Hasn't his business career involved several failures? I remember some property deal falling apart a while ago and back when he was still at the BBC some conman got him to fund a water speed record attempt that went nowhere with a hydrofoil design called Excalibur.

And I'm sure lots of businessmen are just itching to invest money with no thought of making any profit...

Well it's certainly "not for profit" right now and only BBCWW is "commercial" and that's completely separate. But then again it's in the Daily Wail so I doubt most of it's true anyway.

Noes did try to warn us about Cake, a dangerous drug that attacks a part of the brain called Shatners Bassoon.

Save the BBC from what? People forget the BBC is a business now even though we pay for it from our licence fee. There are outside companies who make and produce shows for Radio and TV. I still do believe top presenters invest there money into the corporation and are silent partners which will need a dividend for returns?

    :D:D I agree

I read that he would abolish the Parliamenty channel because "it's boring" and also abolish Welsh and Scottish Gaelic language broadcasts.

    What a plonker.

On that basis Deal Or No Deal should have been axed years ago.

I should imagine that what with the way things are going there will be big changes to the BBC especially if the Tories get back in come next May for another five years, wouldn't it be nice if they sold Radio 1 to Richard Branson or to another former Radio 1 presenter or even a team of former Radio 1 presenters although it would not surprise me if that was to happen if Chris Moyles was to buy it.

How about maybe Michael Grade buying BBC One?, now that would be a good idea and Sir David Attenborough could buy BBC Two. Any thoughts about Radio 2?, hold on! what about Sir Terry Wogan.

Now all we need is suggestions for Radio 3, 4, Five Live, 6Music, BBC Three, Four, CBBC and CBeebies.
