    I saw that, too, but not sure if it's a hoax. Can't find any reliable source other than loads of people on twitter saying it.

    I doubt it he'd not been in the best of health for a while. The person who's tweeted seems to be someone some people have heard of too and there are people, people would think of before Mel Smith if they were gong to do a hoax.

    Yes, it's just been put up. For about half an hour, there was literally no source whatsoever other than a lot of people on twitter repeating it.
