Unconventional relationships in film

I've been trying to think of unconventional relationships in films (be them as a couple, or maybe just due to circumstance) and how the characters develop as result of the pairing.
The first one that came to mind for me, only because I watched it the other day, was Carter (Chris Tucker) and Lee (Jackie Chan) from Rush hour. Very much a opposites attract despite the situation, in my opinion.
Another one, and a complete polar opposite, is Chained. The relationship is a boy being held against their will and made to follow rules of their captor in a less than welcoming environment for 10 years.
Any others that come to mind or standout for you guys?
