EE- Wednesday 26 December 2012@8.30pm- Devastation at Dodgy Derek's Downfall
Hi all, can't believe its Boxing day and I nearly forgot to do the thread!
Well, I'm here now and soon, Del will be boxed up (no pun intended)
So what has happened this week...
Well basically, I nearly vomited at EE's new bestiality storyline, when the Kat kissed the Toad- and there was no handsome prince to take his place which just made it worse. Then the Toad morphed into an ape and shrieked 'I AM DEREK BRANNING!'. Cringe.
Having said that, as predictable as it was, I enjoyed Kirsty's introduction and I found myself rooting for Manya (and I loathe the Brannings- what is this world coming too?!)
Aside from Derek, we have had Rolfie, the (temporary) destruction of Kalfie- and I must admit I was taken aback but pleased to see Mo vilifying Kat for what she did.
Oh and the Toad is dead. Good (sorry dan2008!:p) Next should be Toad Jr.
If you prefer a visual aid, then here is Xmas Eve and the Day of the Dead.
But what is in store tonight...

Well, hello, Ayesha. We are a loving, peaceful family and I'm not at all possessive. Tamwar, get done here! *nervous giggle and smile*
Anyway, let me fill you in on what's been happening.
Tsk, Tsk- this is what happens if you bet money but at least he is gone. But at least we beat that awful CS for the top spot this year (again!)

IanMandy's Character Corner: The Festive Deaths
Well, EE is always at its best at Xmas and despite a mediocre year, it lived up to its reputation with Del's death. Finally, at least he won't dominate every scene he is in. But I digress.
EE loves a good old festive death, whether its as spectacular as Tiffany Mitchell's exit, heartbreaking such as Pat's 2012 deathbed.... well, death, as ironic as Yusef being burned alive or as cruel as Pauline Fowler's awful end. Either way, we rejoice or cry at these ratings winners because we love or hate the characters so much. Jamie didn't act the heart attack great but a good end (though with Pat, Heather and Derek dying this year, one must wonder if 2012 is anti-fat person year).
And so, I will allow you to relive those glorious moments of Xmas, new year and late December deaths.
Jamie Mitchell- 25/12/02- Run over by Martin Fowler
Tiffany Mitchell- 31/12/98- Run over by Frank Butcher (don't go driving in December!)
Paul Trueman- 23/12/04- His death isn't shown but we know he dies
Barry Evans- 1/1/04- Rolled down a cliff
Nana Moon- 16/12/05- Natural Causes
Dennis Rickman- 1/1/06- Stabbed by Danny Moon
Pauline Fowler- 25/12/06- Brain hemorrhage
Kevin Wicks- 1/1/08- Car accident
James Branning- 30/12/10- Cot death
Archie Mitchell- 25/12/09- Bashed by the Bust
Yusef Khan- 25/12/11- Incinerated
Pat Evans- 1/1/12- Pancreatic Cancer
Derek Branning- 25/12/12- Heart attack
But it isn't all sadness at Xmas, people are born too!
Liam Butcher- 25/12/98- to Ricky and Bianca Butcher
Tommy Moon- 30/12/10- to Kat and Michael Moon
James Branning- 30/12/10- to Ronnie and Jack Branning
Peter and Lucy Beale- 9/12/93- to Ian and Cindy Beale (Part 1) (Part 2)
Hope you all had a great Xmas and enjoy tonight!

But what is in store tonight...
The Branning family are in shock following the dramatic events of Christmas Day and news soon spreads around Albert Square that Derek is dead. Max is eager for everyone to get their stories straight before speaking to the police, and he advises Joey and Jack to avoid talking about the argument with Derek. Carol tries to keep it together for the sake of the family and finds herself waxing lyrical about Derek, while Alice is numb with grief. Later, Max, Jack and Carol head to the mortuary and say a final goodbye to their brother.
At the same time, Max is still struggling following the reveal of his big secret, which is now known by the whole family…
Meanwhile, over at The Vic, there is an awkward atmosphere between Roxy and Alfie after she confessed her love for him. Jean and Mo can't resist having their say as they warn Roxy that Alfie is fragile at the moment, but Roxy insists that she'd never do anything to hurt him.
Elsewhere, Kim wakes up ready to celebrate Christmas, only to discover that she slept through the whole day due to suffering from the effects of Mo's punch. Denise is furious as she was forced to spend Christmas Day playing charades with Shirley while Kim was sleeping. The tension between Denise and Kim escalates throughout the day, but in the end, Denise tries to make amends by recreating Christmas Day for her sister.
Also today, Patrick returns to the Square following his time away, while Zainab announces plans to host a New Year's Eve party.

Haha, thanks:D
Great thread Ian , love the names and vids!
Anti-fat person year , how did Tyler survive?
Evening all. I don't want Manya to remarry. (Sounds like that hairy mammoth out of Ice Age)
PS Will we see Kirsty tonight? She's playing havoc with my character count:mad:
BIB1: How does he survive regardless:sleep:
BIB2: I can imagine:D
Thanks everyone!
Yes Kirsty is in it the preview clip is her an Max in the Vic
Well, whats Ian compared to the legend that is Joey 'Inaudible' Branning?
I love the Beales- and hate the Brannings. Oh well:p
At least now you can update your count!
I've only just realised I need to start the duff duff count next week- New Year comes quick!
Welcome, its a crazy world here!
Hope you enjoyed the thread!
I suppose because they are all witnesses and they have motives so the police would be wary.
And the fact that they could have stressed Derek out enough to give him a heart attack
Thanks IanMandy the thread is great, just browsing through some of the clips now! I was about to say that surely the police couldn't blame them for him dropping down dead of a heart attack, but then I remembered this is Walford and if they could they probably would! Also, what has the actress who's playing Kirsty been in? Can't say I recognise her at all if I'm honest...
Good old Walford, about as realistic as an atheist Pope.
Apparently the actress is famous but I've never heard of her either
Thank you PP!:D
Same here.
Roll on 8:30pm!:)
