    Die Trying - Lee Child.

The second Jack Reacher book I've read and I'm beginning to find the character just a little too perfect - physically and mentally he seems superior to everyone. I half expect him to wear his underpants on the outside of his spandex tights and wear a cape :)

I prefer my heroes a little flawed and more human.

'Gone Girl'. I avoided it for ages because it was so hyped, but I'm more than halfway through and really enjoying it.

I've decided to read Witchstorm, book two of the banned and the banished series. I've had them so long, but never got past reading the first one (read multiple times) as never had time the last couple of years.

I can't find the first in the series, so will continue where I left of, as have recently rekindled my love of reading.

    Inferno - Dan Brown

    Snap!
I'm about halfway through and I'm struggling to be honest.
I've given up on too many books this year, though, so I'm determined to finish it.

I haven't got that far but it does seem a bit of an identikit formula to some of his previous ones. I'll finish it though, I very rarely ditch a novel halfway through :)

Started reading In The Woods - Tana French. Enjoying it so far, even though the main character is getting on my wick a bit.

Inferno by Dan Brown. It's ok, same formula as all his others though

Fallen by Karin Slaughter. Very good, really gripping. At the time of posting this message, I find myself wanting to go back to it, only having 60-odd pages left to read, simply cos I want to find out how it ends!

I'm currently about half way through The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. I'm listening to an unabridged audio version narrated by Jim Donaldson. It's a good story which is slightly let down by the quality of the recording. The narrator is good but there are some repetitions of lines due to poor editing, and the big gaps between chapters make me think that my mp3 player's battery has run out!

My new Kindle book is Simon Armitage's translation of the 14th century poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I haven't had the dubious pleasure of studying the original, so I don't know whether this translation stays true. It's an enjoyable read so far.

I'm currently reading The Price of Altruism - George Price and the Search For The Origins of Kindness, by Oren Harman.

Amazing read, especially after reading Brave New World.
