Welcome everybody to the second "VS Series" of The X Factor! This series will be the battle of the 2011 Series from UK and US, and for the first time Australia (which will be referred to as OZ).

In this series, we will have a five-piece judging panel consisting of three returning judges and two former guest judges who will be taking permanent seats on the panel. So let's please welcome the new look UK vs US vs OZ panel!

Series 1 Winner -- David (yohinnchild)
Series 1 Runner-up -- Steve (Soppyfan)
Series 1 Impartial Judge -- Kuda (Kuda_Kunaka)

And our two new judges
Tom (Noonan15) and Pingu (Pingu58011)

Tonight our judges will find out the category they will be mentoring and will select which contestants they want to make up their teams. However, as there are five judges there will also be a TWIST giving a fifth category.

The categories will be:

Boys
Girls
Overs
Groups
and Wildcards

The judge who is allocated the Wildcards category will wait until every judge has selected their team and can make up their category with any three remaining contestants, providing they are from different categories.

Each judges team must be made up of one UK act, one US act and one OZ act, including the Wildcards

So judges, who's ready to find out their category and choose their team?!

Tom can't be here with us tonight unfortunately but last night he was allocated his category and chose his team.

The category Tom will be mentoring is:
    THE OVERS!
Tom is an experienced mentor, having been a judge for 4 series of a game on another forum, and therefore he seems to be a promising candidate to take the Overs for their second win on UK vs US vs OZ.

The contestants Tom could choose from were:
    Sami Brookes (UK)
    Johnny Robinson (UK)
    Kitty Brucknell (UK)
    Jonjo Kerr (UK)
    LeRoy Bell (US)
    Stacy Francis (US)
    Dexter Haygood (US)
    Josh Krajick (US)
    Andrew Wishart (OZ)
    Mitchell Callaway (OZ)
    Cleo Howman (OZ)

And the acts he chose to make up his team were:
    Sami Brookes (UK)
    Stacey Francis (US)
    Mitchell Callaway (OZ)

Best of luck to Tom in the competition!

The next judge to receive their category will be David.

David, the category I want you to mentor this series is...
    THE WILDCARDS!
This means that you will need to wait until all the other judges have chosen their teams before you can select yours. After winning last series I thought you deserved a challenge this time around

At least I haven't got the groups :D

    Wildcards will be interesting :)

    Something for everyone!!!

I'm happy with my category... certainly happier than I was when I got the overs (so is that a good thing ;))

You seemed to be obliging to your task with the Overs very well last year and you seemed very comfortable!

Up next to be allocated their category is Steve!

Steve, the category you will be mentoring this series is...
    THE GIRLS!
I haven't seen you mentor the Girls category before and I hope you will try hard to get at least one of them to the Final!

The acts you can choose from for your team are:
    Misha B (UK)
    Janet Devlin (UK)
    Sophie Habibis (UK)
    Amelia Lily (UK)
    Melanie Amaro (US)
    Rachel Crow (US)
    Drew (US)
    Simone Battle (US)
    Tiah Tolliver (US)
    Christina Parie (OZ)
    Tyla Bertolli (OZ)
    Jacqui Newland (OZ)

So Steve, could you please decide on your team and post the three Girls you want to mentor!

    Thanks :D

I'm happy with the WC's though (other judges leave me with something vaguely good when you've all picked ;))

Gotta head off for about 30 minutes (poss more) - will see what I'm left with after that and pick/ post my acts

    Good luck everyone else :)

Sorry for taking so long but here we are, I've made my 3 out of 4 choices and they are...
Sophie Habibis - This girl was SO underrated and she was being left out by miss Rowland, my job is treat her the right way and get her to go far. She has the potential to do this. (And she's gorgeous too, lol) :)

Drew Ryniewicz - OMG! This girl when she sung that song, I was blown away and I nearly cried as well. :o This could very well be my potential winner here, but we're gonna work hard outright!

Christina Parie - She has done so brilliantly for herself and I blame her shock exit on Mel B's POOR song choices, well that's not gonna happen on my watch, she is the surprise package in my team! :D

Amazing category Steve. They are the ones I would have picked, but I would have picked Janet Devlin instead of Sophie!! :)

That's what I said when I had the wildcards on The Mix Factor but I made one wrong move and I lost all of them in a few weeks. :o
