I have just got one of these (on Friday) and the battery seems not to be holding a charge. I have charged it fully twice, until the light turned green and the onscreen indicator showed full. On each occasion in a few hours the battery indicator has reduced to, what looks like, about 20% charged.
On the latest time it finished charging at about 1100 today and, with the device not being used (it was just in, what I would call, the standby mode with the screensaver displayed dimly) it reached about 20% again by about 1730.
I have the WiFi set up, and on switching on it shows. Would this reduce the battery that rapidly perhaps?
Otherwise, does it sound as if I have a duff device?

It is on charge at the moment, so I will take it off when it finishes and see what it looks like in the morning.
Got it from Argos, so I may well take it back tomorrow.
Visit to Argos coming up!
I am currently looking round for suitable material to download. I quite like biographies, but many of those which would be of interest I have already read. I will have to see, it is a few weeks away.
Anyway, so far, this one seems to be doing as it should.
Up until the screen died my keyboard 3G it always kept its charge for 4 weeks - so I have high hopes for its Paperwhite replacement.
I have not charged it at all since last night and have had the WiFi enabled and the charge indicator does not seem to have moved except for when I have actually been using it.
