Funny UK sitcom scenes/lines
I know.So many to really have an outright favourite!
But are there any scenes/lines that still make you laugh when you think about them?
With the sad passing of Frank Thornton yesterday,I was thinking about Are You Being Served and I still laugh at a line from an episode in the first series(28 years ago!!!) where they had to spend the night camping in the store because of a transport strike.
They were sitting around the camp fire telling stories and Mr Granger told them how he used to entertain the troops during the war with his impressions of Lord Haw Haw.
When he did it for them, the atmosphere went very serious and Captain Peacock said solemnly"I think you were very brave,Mr Granger", to general agreement.
.......Until Mr Lucas piped up,"With an act like that,he had to be!"
