XB1/ PS4 review scores
A lot of rumours that today is the day the review embargo is lifted and we finally start to see some reviews of the next gen games.i thought this would be a good place to post reviews, and discuss.
First one of the day-
NBA 2K14 IGN Review
Sounds good.

NBA 2K14 IGN Review
If you skipped current-gen this year, it’s a no-brainer: yes, yes, yes, yes. Next-gen NBA 2K14’s ambitious new modes each leave a bit to be desired, and for better and for worse, it plays almost identically to the game you may already own. But this edition is not only a smooth-flowing piece of pro basketball simulation, it’s also one of the few games that makes a true next-generation leap in visual fidelity. And when you’re dropping $400-$500 on a fresh piece of hardware, there’s something to be said for that.
Sounds good.

FIFA 14 IGN Review
First wave releases are never that amazing in the scheme of things. E.g. go look at a X Box 360 game from 2005 and compare it to what we have now, could be for an entirely different platform from the level of improvements made over the systems life span. While we don't yet know if the next gen will be quite so long lasting, I would still say there is loads of time for improvements to be made and I don't think anything released this year will truly showcase the next generation as the developers are probably struggling with getting it working without (major) glitches and keeping the frame rate acceptable, plus last minute changes to specification (e.g. XBone CPU speed boost) won't have been known so couldn't be developed for.
I think if you take those visuals and see it moving at 60fps in 1080p clarity it would look incredibly unrealistic. It's really a significant jump over current gen imo.
Just a shame Basketball sucks so much, looking forward to seeing how the Hockey games look and especially the new EA UFC series.

What did you think the first link in this thread was to ?
If I knew how to play basketball, I'd definitely be getting this. Here's to hoping the first nextgen cricket game is as good as this or FIFA 14 (although some how I don't think so).
If rumours are true, we could see a quite a few reviews at around 5pm, including BF4.
I'm not a big fan of basketball, but that game is defiantly worth a look at even if its just for eye candy.
Funnily enough, i do have a soft spot for baseball, so wouldn't mind a good game based on the sport.
Bad day at work !! Whats even worse i read the link this morning. Come out of a meeting this afternoon, checked IGN, saw the review got excited and posted the link:o
Apparently, the only Xbox One games out of embargo today are COD Ghosts, BF4 and NBA2K14. Have to wait a bit longer for the rest.
Reviews of KIllzone, Knack, Resogun and Contrast on PS4 will be revealed tomorrow.
Im sure most would agree the current game is nowhere near a 9. But if you like what you have on 360/PS3 then I guess this is for you.
PS4 - 6.5
Xbox One 7.0

That is what was reported beforehand. No surprises really. Sad though for anybody that gets it on next gen and has serious framerate issues. Did they say when it happened exactly?
Nice to see somebody actually score CoD properly though.
COD:Ghosts
7.5 for XBox One
