If anyone watched tonights show I would be interested to know what the 10 worst were as I only caught the end. (Hull was the worst as it seems to be in most surveys).
Stoke On Trent was offically named as the worst place to live in the UK a few years ago - the local radio station was up in arms  - based on the same statistics (crime, unemployment, education etc) and yet didn't get a mention. It certainly hasn't improved and you can still pick up a house for under £50,000
Nottingham, my old student stomping ground at no. 2 worst!
I said to Mr SBGQ 'Nottingham's bound to get a mention judging by all the chavs you used to get on Trisha from there' (God, you can tell that accent a mile off) and there it was with two mentions (Mansfield counts as well)

Aww... I felt quite defensive towards it for a minute, then I remembered the crime! It's the only place I've ever lived where I had washing stolen off my washing line! Great nights out though!

Sneinton (which I know is student land) is a hovel. I repossessed a house there and it had to be fumagated
No mention of any Scottish towns, I was pleasantly surprised not to see my own home town in the bottom 10. But ned culture isn't really up ther in the big leagues, and I guess teenage pregnancy isn't that big a problem unless you are a pregnant teenager or the parent of one.
It was also mentioned today that Dundee has the fastest rising housing prices in Scotland - we came in late though.
It won something recently (something like 'nicest place to live in the UK'), but presumably lost out on the nightlife etc in this particular assessment!
It was an interesting experiance Chavs running wild. and women giving b**w jobs in the street in broad day light
It did improve slightly when they opened a new shopping area and cinema. I would still rather live there than salford. Hull is a dive though and their sports fans are mad. Quite a few were banned at the weekend for chanting at the QPR fans "Your just a town full of bombers"

I'm pretty sure that won when Stoke On Trent was voted the worst place to live because I remember Stoke's local radio station (Signal One) set up a live link with Essex FM to discuss the survey because they both have the same FM frequency (102.6 - what are the chances of that eh? ) and Signal even gave out car stickers saying something along the lines of 'I live in Stoke On Trent and I'm proud'
Anyone get the ten best, or a link? I missed it all
All down South or Home Counties except Harrogate which was third.
Epsom & Ewell was top.
From memory, in no order, Westminster, South Cambridgeshire, West Oxfordshire, Mole Valley (WTF?) Stratford On Avon, some part of Hertfordshire........erm can't think of any more

Oh weird! I just remember something smug on our local news! The usual 'Essex isn't all about white stilettos and shellsuits' stuff!
I can't remember the order......... Epsom top, South Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire (East?), Harrogate, Stratford Upon Avon (I love that place! ), Er........ can't remember anything else.

Granted, it will be a shithole but you still can!

Harrogate was third and that's in the North

I used to work there! Used to have bars on the office windows, and had a splendid view of winos pissing in the street!
How quaint

Was that voted best place a few years ago?

I'm on the wrong side of Lambeth Bridge to live in the number 2 - but I can walk there in 2 minutes.

Signal had just one boast - Robbie Williams
Nice to see you base the whole of Nottingham on Sneinton and what appeared on the Trisha show!
