Jonathan Wilkes, Kevin Kennedy, Brenda Edwards,
Georgina Hagen and Ashley Russell to star in the record -breaking musical!

Actor and musician Jonathan Wilkes and former Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy, will star in this year’s upcoming ‘We Will Rock You’ UK Tour. They will appear in the smash-hit Queen and Ben Elton musical alongside X Factor finalist Brenda Edwards, star of ITV1’s Britannia High Georgina Hagen and I’d Do Anything’s Nancy contestant Ashley Russell, who are also announced today. The eagerly anticipated 43-week regional tour opens at Manchester’s Palace Theatre on 21st March.

Jonathan Wilkes will perform the role of ‘Khashoggi’, whilst Manchester soap star Kevin Kennedy will assume the role of ‘Pop’. Brenda Edwards will play the domineering role of ‘Killer Queen’, Head of Globalsoft. TV star Georgina Hagen will star in the production as ‘Meat’, the main female of the Bohemians and Ashley Russell, will play the role of the ‘Teacher’!!!

That's great news. I'm glad to see Ash get an opportunity like this. I could never really see her as Nancy, but she's a talented girl who had an unnecessarily harsh time on the show.

Ashley J Russell's next role is now public - and she's started playing it........

Ashley is in the Mamma Mia International Tour. She's according to her agent's site, understudying Tanya, Rosie and Donna , 3 of the 4 female leads

The tour looks quite amazing - if Ashley likes Korean food, and Korean winter, and can get used to the air raid drills. It starts snd runs from November 26 to March 23 in Seoul, South Korea, then moves to Basel Switzerland to run from 13 May to 8 June and then moves for the summer to Blackpool from 20 June - 31 Aug . Kimchi, Korean dancers, alps, and beaches......

Ashley Russell and the Mamma Mia crew have now left Korea and are now singing amid the Swiss alps. The run in Blackpool seems to have been extended and runs from 20 June to 14 Sept and they now have a run in Hong Kong to follow Blackpool -going from 24 th Sept to 19 Oct
