Can SamC turn it around and impress with his singing on Saturday?

I have no idea, but if he does then I will stop saying he can't sing. :D

He won't turn it around because he cannot sing!

Best route to the final for him is to perform a strip routine with every performance.

So someone would ask this silly question of course.

He's by no means a 'singer', a performer - yes. So I don't think he'll ever impress anyone with his singing ability.

He should sing My Heart Will Go On.

If you're not interested then it makes no sense that you even open the thread, let alone bother to reply to it.

I think he should sing Anarchy In The UK by Sex Pistols

If you're looking for wisdom and informed discourse, an internet forum discussing the X-Factor may not be the place to find it. :D

Depends on the song. If he's set up with a lousy song again, probably not.

I can't see an improvement that big happening in the space of a week.

He can sing actually, it's just that song wasn't in his range. Not everyone has 3 octave ranges like Mariah.

He doesn't need to ''turn it around''!!

He's a dead cert for the final and a possible winner due to the army of teeny boppers who vote for him ''cos he's well fit''!!!

I don't doubt that his voice is passable enough for simple songs, but he struggled through Summer Of '69 and that's hardly Ave Maria.

His voice just doesn't have as much going for it as most of the others, which means he will struggle . He "can" sing, though.

His best bet would be to get a song/arrangement that suits his personality and work like crazy to have a meaningful, comfortable, unique delivery . If he can, then yeah, he could impress.

Jazz delivery over an Arctic Monkeys-esque arrangement could be interesting for him, perhaps.

He has a pop rock voice. He won't be able to sing ANY of the typical songs available.

So Summer Of 69 is not a pop rock song? Who new? :D

What songs will he be able to sing then? Could you list a few? Who would you compare him to? Matt Cardle? James Arthur? Robbie Williams? Bruce Springsteen? What type of artist does he aspire to be?

Hilarious. Because there is SUCH a shortage of pop rock songs out there! :D:p
