Neither can I. I do admit that I watch Downton Abbey but Upstairs Downstairs is really good too. I like both programmes. It'll be my fix of costume drama for a few weeks. The time period is one of my favourites so I'm intriegued. On the repeats of the Original Upstairs Downstairs they've just got into the 20's and I'm thinking I wonder what the Hollands would have been up to at that time. No doubt on Sunday I'll be thinking I wonder what the Bellamy's, Georgina and the servants Edward, Daisy, Ruby and the Hudsons will be upto. I hope we get a reference to them. Maybe Rose is recuperating with the Hudsons or with Edward, Daisy and Georgina.
I can't wait for this! The new series looks absolutely wonderful. It's a shame that Jean Marsh is only in two episodes and that the wonderful Eileen Atkins chose not to take part in the second season, but from what I've read and seen, it looks great.
Where has the advertising and PR been for this!!!
I watch TV a lot and saw nothing. I don't read magazines particularly, I just happened to come across it on my programme scheduler by chance after scheduling Call the Midwife to record!!

Thanks for that
Enjoy Enjoy Sal*UK
It has to be Rose (for nostalgic reasons). Quite sad to see Jean Marsh looking so frail these days, though.
A pity that Eileen Atkins left the show, I liked her character too.
I think the young maid has left but the young guy from hollyoaks is still there.
Here is the cast list

"In October 2009, she took up a place to study English at the University of Cambridge."
I guess it would be her final year? So maybe not the time?
Rose is my favourite character too
This series sounds fantastic!! its shame Rose is only in two episodes but Jean's health must come first. Hopefully she will do the full series 3.
I echo your comments get well soon Jean
I only wish the 2010 series had been repeated prior to this starting.
Poor old Valerie Barlow did all the cooking in series one, with no help, even with the washing up.
Poor woman's nearly eighty!!
