A few to start off the top of my head
Conviction (BBC3)
Criminal Justice*
State Of Play**
*I watched series 2 when it was on last year and thought it was pretty good so went back and watched series 1 (the plots are not connected). I think series 1 is probably better.
**I watched the film the other week and thought i'd check out the original series. The series is better but then it has more time to fill out the plot.
I guess you could add comedy dramas into it such as LoM/A2A and Shameless.
I thought LoM was better than A2A but both endings were a little dodgy.
I watched Shameless upto series 5 (I think) but imo it wasn't as good as the first few series with the original cast. Too quick of cast turnover after that.

True , it was a bit long !! Still the best though
The Singing Detective
Edge of Darkness
Holding On
Births, Deaths and Marriages
What a quality list!
The first Five Days was pretty good. Does Dead Set count? That was rocking, the best thing Channel 4 have made in years.
Speaking of Morrissey, I also watched Red Riding last year.
and also See No Evil: The Moors Murders at around the same time. Both very very good. Sean Harris was excellent in both.

It really was brilliant, winning bakc to back BAFTAs for Best Drama.
Couldn't agree more
Very British Coup and GBH would be up there too.
All superb!
BIB they were great! And to add; black mirror, marchlands, bouquet of barbed wire, whitechapel....there are definitely more!
I liked Gideon's Daughter and Perfect Strangers too.
Red Riding
