Good old Tom, always an entertaining interviewee!
I love the way he describes Doctor Who as 'better than real life' - that's a terrific line.

    Tom on form as ever.

However, I did find it strange when he says he never watched it even when he was in it - yet in his autobiography he tells the famous tale of how he was away from home when one of his episodes was about to air (no videos or even repeats back then so just the one chance to see it) and he turned up at the door of a young fan to watch it with him.

he was a dr who "for the ladies". they like curly hair and a deep voice ...... and maybe mad tortured eyes suggesting a lost soul as well .......

whenever i hear him speaking about being dr who he usually says "women write letters saying my deep voice makes their bosoms tingle" .....

Anyone else think, after seeing his face on the home page, that he'd died, or was it just me ?

    :D

So which Tom Baker stories would you advise Tom to watch?

    I'd go with:

    1)Pyramids of Mars
    2)The Brain of Morbius
    3)Robots of Death.

I don't think he'd like the Pyramids of Mars, he had the hump because he didn't get on with the director and it shows in his performance, but I quite like a mean and moody fourth Doctor :)

Tom's done the commentary for the other two stories on DVD so he must have seen those before.

I thought he fell out with Paddy Russell during Horror of Fang Rock?
