Virgin phone free evening and weekend calls
I pay the - what ever it is - a month for free evening and weekend calls.
I've never quite been able to find out when these calls begin and end.
When I was with BT it was from 6.00 pm until 8.00 am the following morning for evenings.
Does anyone know DEFINITELY when it is for Virgin?

Exactly the same as BT according to their website actually, "Weekend calls from midnight on Friday to midnight on Sunday; Evening calls between 6pm and 6am weekdays; Daytime calls at other times. "

Got charged for all of them.
So obviously Virgin evenings do not start at 6.00 but at 6.30.
Previously I've made my calls after 6.30 and not got charged for them.
And when I was with BT a mere 18 months or so ago - free evening calls finished at 8.00 am in the morning and started at 6.00 pm in the evening.
I have evening and weekend calls, and have not been charged for calls made just after 18:00 in the years I've had evening and weekend calls.
Maybe when you are dialling it's not quite 18:00, maybe you should give it a couple of minutes to make sure you are past 18:00.
I'm not exactly sure why answering your question deserves the "fan club" abuse but whatever makes you happy!
Both BT and Virgin advertise their inclusive call periods as 6pm to 6am. I've no idea what the case was 18 months ago but I'll take your word for it, and not resort to calling you a BT fan boy.
If you are on the L phone package which is the one you seem to be describing and have been charged for calls in this period then I would suggest there has been an error or fault and you should raise it with VM
Yes I'm sure thousands of VM subscribers are bursting to make calls between 6-8am.Now you've pointed this out they can unsubscribe and go to BT
Not quite all.
Primus daytime doesn't start until 08:00, so 2 extra hours each weekday of inclusive calls.

Are the charged calls to landline numbers though - i.e numbers starting 01, 02 (or 03)? Calls to mobiles, 08 numbers and possibly calls to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man will always be charged for.
