I'm surprised there is no thread on this yet - but I'm still flabbergasted that The Wanted are still planning to release this track.
After all they have said about doing a mature cooler style of music, they sell out by going for a one direction sound and doing it badly. By that I'm referencing mainly the theme and lyrics of the song. This of course is done as an outright ploy to cash in on the popularity of Rihanna.
Isnt this embarrassing? Am I the only one that see this?
How will they perform this live and retain any credibility whilst singing 'She Cant's Sing, She Cant dance, but who cares she walks like Rihanna' ?

But yeah, the song is a bit embarrassing for them. I was expecting something a little bit more mature as they seem quite old for this wannabe teen/disney sound. They should have continued in the direction of Chasing The Sun, not this Dr. Luke teen-pop imitation.
I actually like the snippet of what I have heard BUT I agree with you on the one direction sound and so ironic considering what they said about them a while back. kiddie music ;)
I feel like they are trying too hard for attention now.
As much as 1D are not everyone's favorites  they HAVE raised the bar a bit high for international boybands right now with the success they have gained.
Unfortunately TW can only wish for that type of successful.
The songs okay but maybe a different single the song would be better for the album.
I wish The Wanted would just be themselves they've made better songs. This isn't a mature sound if thats what they were aiming for more teen pop.
I know they don't right their own material but the song is obviously written as a dig at someone and she is the only one who fits imho.
They do write their own material
That's not what the writing credits on their songs say!
oh i know, its pathetic and i really don't like that term. i know the radio station is looking for a lower age group in terms of its listeners, but that just sounds like playground language.:o
You love the boyband fandom don't you?
The production is ok, but the lyrics ruin the song. Their last 2 singles have been awful.
That's nothing new, to either music or humanity.
The fact there is so much SHADE in the chorus makes it worse too.

Like you had to ask.
I have gone off them. Bar Nathan and Siva who seems to be down to earth and keep out the limelight they have become so far up their own arses and its about fame not music.
Could not care less if they split.
The song is really catchy that you will end up liking it . If the album is anything like the first single that would be bad but if it's gonna be more the "chasing the sun" etc sort of sound then they're alright.
5 out of 13 on 'The Wanted'
10 out of 15 on 'Battleground'
Anyways, back to the song, production is good and their voices sound good, the only thing that irked me was Max doing the high note, it shoulda been Nathan, his voice is made for belting, Max's definitely isn't.
Anyways, I'm trying to give a fair review here, I'm not keen on some of the things the members have said but their music is dance/pop and they're good at it, why fix what aint broke?
Saying that, I do like some of TW songs but havnt taken to them as a group (with their bitchy and arrogant attitude) & couldn't tell you which one's which.
