Jamie Bell is lovely, know him from my childhood. He is my favourite celeb.

The younger members of Emmerdale cast, The Saturdays, certain models, and the football teams I have met have been lovely.

However, the majority of Hollyoaks cast, Skins, JLS, are egotistic noobs.

Why is Anthony Cotton so "in" with the big bosses?

You'll have to ask them that. But it does seem to be well in with them. Why else would he be given a chat show? He is often pushed forward as the star of Corrie which is very unfair on the other actors.

I have a theory as to why this is, but I'm afraid I dare not repeat it;)

And about six or seven years ago my mum met Liam Gallagher. She said he was delightful, really lovely guy and actually down to earth. I dunno whether or not he is still the same. As much as I love Oasis Liam always comes across as a bit of a tosser to me, but my mum loves him now...

One of my family has worked with him not too long ago and I couldn't type on here what their opinion was, I'd get banned

I collect autographs as a hobby and have met dozens of actors at conventions and premieres and other fan events. Most come across as totally normal people. I've only met a few who have left me starstruck and that's usually because they were childhood heroes. Most memorable include Johnny Depp, who is as lovely as everyone says, Kiera Knightly and Kate Winslet who are class personified, and Jack Nicholson who is mad as a box of frogs but a total gentleman. The casts of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Ashes to Ashes are all absolutely lovely. Keeley Hawes in particular chatted away to me like we were the oldest and dearest friends when I met her last year and John Barrowman is extremely patient with fans, always going the extra mile when he can.

I'm going to meet William Shatner at a convention in July. He has one of the worst reputations in showbiz for being a complete and total arse so it will be interesting to see how that goes!

Loving this thread. I've met quite a few celebrities:

Anthony Andrews - invited into his dressing room after a matinee of "My Fair Lady". He was really lovely, spent ages talking to me and my friend and was happy to have photos taken although he was only in a dressing gown as he'd just had a shower!!! :D:D:D

Boy George - the first time I met him he was horrible, really rude. I met him again a few years later and he was really nice.

David Essex - Lovely. A real gentleman.

Take That - all of them really friendly but Gary Barlow was the nicest

    Alison Moyet - very nice

    Brian May - charming

Cliff Richard - very friendly. I was in a business meeting with him but he was happy to chat about all sorts of things. very nice

Pet Shop Boys - very nice, very camp!

    Russ Abbott - friendly

Carol Vorderman - pleasant and chatty

Mick Hucknell - very abrasive as were his management

Kirsty MacColl - sat next to her at an industry "do". She couldn't be bothered to make any conversation so I eventually gave up

Richard Branson - I worked for him. Two-faced, a hypocrite and an a**e

    RE: The Corrie Crew/Cast

There was a rumour going around a while back about one of the actresses on the show being bullied when she first joined by various members of the cast/crew. I remember reading an ex-boyfriend at the time did a kiss and tell on her about a year after she joined the show saying that she would return home crying her eyes out after various members of the cast were really vile to her. I don't want to mention who it is, but i'm sure a few other people have heard the same rumour too.

Can you enlighten us a little more, if possible? Really goes against public image.

But why should she have needed to make conversation?

Well, when you're sitting next to someone for hours eating a meal I think it's only polite to make a bit of an effort to be pleasant. She wasn't...

He wasn't a very fair boss. Nor was he a particularly nice person. Can't really go into detail but his PR people are very, very good hence public opinion tends to be in his favour. Generally, those of us who have worked for him can tell a very different story.

The actor who I speak to told me a few horror stories, can't go into too much detail either but there is one female cast member in particular who is vile. The producers treated some cast members really badly including this actor, not a happy place to work unless your face fits.

I've always got that vibe off him, never thought he was a particularly pleasant man behind the public persona, never met him or anyone that worked for him, just always got that vibe off him.

I'd say. I worked for VS for a long time and was in regular contact with him, sure he is ruthless but I have never seen a side to him I dont like. I always found him to be down to earth and easy to communicate with.

God I'm shocked at all the Corrie cast talk. Although in all honesty it doesn't surprise me.

The actress in question left the show very recently. So there's a big clue;) Apparently at Corrie there is a clique led by Anthony Cotton and his **** hag Jennie McAlpine. They are both vile people anyway, also in the gang are the chucky doll who plays Molly and Kym Marsh. I don't believe the entire cast are nasty, just that little crew. If you ever see paps of the cast socialising that lot are never with them.

Oh completely forgot, saw the guy who played "Sinbad" in Brookside, can't remember his real name sorry! He was shopping in Norwich, nudged my friend to show her who it was and he looked up while we were both staring at him and said "yes it is me, happy now??" and stomped off. We didn't even say anything to him! Grumpy git!

-I was talking to a sales assistant in HMV about a band that were due to perform an instore show and a thin man with dyed red hair joined in the conversation. I suddenly realised it was Thom Yorke from Radiohead. As soon as he saw my face light up in recognition he was off like a shot. I didn't take it personally though!

-I also remember meeting Supergrass. The band were lovely but the lead singers girlfriend was a proper mare.

-I've met some F1 drivers, all really polite except for Jacques Villeneuve who I saw in Argos. He went up to the till without filling in a paper slip first and when they asked him to go back and write down the number he stormed out of the shop.

-I also met James May and Jeremy Clarkson in a supermarket. James May was very charming and smiley, Clarkson was a grumpy sod.

Oh, not the one with the massively curly hair and crabby last name? Aww, I like her so that's sad if she got picked on :(
