Microsoft Error Code - 0x80248013

Anyone know what is the cause of the Error Code 0x80248013 when I run Windows Update.

I have googled it but most answers are in other languages I did find a link to the answer, but that page can't load because of error code 0x8DDD000F.

Anyony any ideas what these are.

    I had this problem earlier today. Fortunately IE gave me this solution and it worked for me.

    When searching for available updates on the Update site, you see the 0x80248013 error Last updated : 05/24/2005 Print | Close



    Problem description
    This error may occur if there is a content mismatch in the DataStore or Download folder.


    Applicable operating systems


    Windows 2000

    Windows XP

    Windows Server 2003



    Resolutions
    1. Stop the Automatic Updates service, clear the contents of the DataStore and Download folders, and restart the Automatic Updates service.

    Stop the Automatic Updates Service.
    Click Start.
    Choose Run.
    In the Run box, type services.msc.
    Click OK.
    Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
    Select Properties.
    Under Service status, click Stop.
    Click OK.
    Delete the Contents of the DataStore and Download folders.
    Click Start.
    Choose Run.
    In the Run box, type %windir%\SoftwareDistribution.
    Click OK.
    Delete the contents of both the DataStore and Download folders.
    Start the Automatic Updates Service
    Click Start.
    Choose Run.
    In the Run box, type services.msc.
    Click OK.
    Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
    Select Properties.
    Under Service status, click Start.
    Click OK.
