I would like some recommendations for cookbooks giving recipes for two people please . I am fed up of trying to adapt recipes aimed at 4 or 6 people.
I'm quite a basic cook - spaghetti bolognese, fish pie kind of level. My adapted recipes never turn out quite right .

Yes, that's a good idea. I do do that with some things.

As suggested, freezing is a great idea.
So is turning the dish into something different for the next day.
The above book is excellent and at £4.99 its cheap.

Maybe you should start making things with chicken breasts, steaks, chops etc. Those recipes are a lot easier to adapt to two than things such as pies, stews etc.
