According to there Pertwee was 6' 3" while Tennant is 6' 1".
I thought McCoy would be tiny.
Me too — more like 160 than 168. I guess it's all that being photographed next to Tom and David?
No, Patrick Troughton was 5'9" and Sylvester McCoy is 5'6".
Troughton was in fact the forth shortest Doctor, being an inch taller than both William Hartnell and Paul McGann.
Odd, isn't it? Perhaps he was acting short...
Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee were the joint tallest Doctors at 6'4"-ish but Baker has taller hair.
No, they called themselves 'the shortest show on earth' at the time - only Anneke Wills (5'6") is above average height, Michael Craze was surprisingly short (I can't find his height listed anywhere, but he was a bit shorter than Troughton) and Frazer Hines is 5'8". Wendy Padbury is tiny.
This fact was used as an advantage in 'The Ice Warriors' - by casting short to average height actors in the human roles and extremely tall actors in big shoes and tall hats as the Ice Warriors, the director succeeds in making them look truly gigantic as well as ending up with a particularly good cast.
The sixth Doctor is the sixth shortest at six foot tall.
I didn't realise he was that short, I thought he was at least 6'4
Nah, doesn't work. They haven't made the heights accurate.
I'm always surprised at how short Paul McGann is in real life, they did a good job hiding that in the TV movie... 6 foot is short?!
it's short compared to 6'4
and I agree with the McGann point, when I saw that picture of him with other Doctors I was very surprised.

Huh, if that shocks you, prepared to be AMAZED!
Brian Blessed is 5'9".
Particularly the Dapol ones -their Mel figure (who, you will recall, was played by the disconcertingly tiny Bonnie Langford) was at least a head taller than their Cyberman figure...
I don't think height is very important. Patrick Troughton proves that, he was a brilliant Doctor.
I remember looking in the actor's directory in my local library and it gave Tom Baker's height as 6'3", not 6'4".
You shrink as you get older, you know.
Either that or his dimensional stabiliser is faulty.
I can. He was a lot taller than Nicola Bryant.
