I would say she is more someone that is not dealing with personal issues in her life very well and prob needing some guidance and advice from an honest screwed on head around her, rather than one of your two simplistic options. She's had the luxury and misfortune of fame at such a young age, and I don't think she is going through the transition of having been a child star with a clean image to that of an adult (with a realised sense of sexuality about herself) as seamlessly as she maybe would have hoped. At a guess, I doubt she's completely happy with the way things are in her life right now. And regardless of whether her ex is a cheat or not, I think now that they're split, she should completely re-evaluate what it is she's feeling and find a more productive way of expressing it.
From what I've seen, she's a nice enough girl. She wants to move on from the wholesome Disney star thing, and this is understandable and indeed necessary. However, she misjudged and went too far in her efforts to establish herself as a more adult figure. I think she'll learn, but she'd be better off with some more guidance for a while.
Her problem is she's trying to do something sexy to establish herself as an adult star, but she isn't actually that sexy so it's coming across as desperate.
I watched her on Alan Carr and she was okay, not my cup of tea. I was taken aback by her deep voice, I didn't think she'd sound like that, was almost Marge Simpsonish:eek:
To me she seems like a teenager trying too hard to prove they are an adult and only showing what a child she still is.
Contrast her with Adele or Taylor Swift who aren't that much older but are clearly far more grown up and always have been.
I think someone like Selena Gomez is probably a better comparison, or Demi Lovato. Whilst Demi has had her own well-documented problems, they've both made that transition from child Disney star to adult statr much more smoothly, without trying to force anything or trying to prove a point.

tbf, Wizards Of Waverly Place and Sonny With a Chance/Camp Rock didnt have as much of a cult following like Hannah Montana did. They were never as restricted as Miley was/is to being that same person for the rest of her life.
I think she was being honest when she said that she had to be an adult as a child and is now acting like a child as an adult.
I think that pretty much puts it into perspective. I watch all this nu-fangled nonsense from the outside edges and I'm not a fan or a follower of her. But I do like her. I feel like she has a genuine side and is another young star forced into a spotlight life that's now taken over by image/contracts/press/expectations.
She'll be okay, as long as she keeps her feet on the ground, doesn't get involved with drugs and doesn't bow to publicists/too much. She's got a cheerful, pretty face and comes across as quite nice imo.
Not just cheap, but outright disgusting. She makes me feel a bit ill every time I have the bad luck t see yet another picture of her waggling her revolting tongue around.
I have seen it in several stars who were famous at a young age and then tried to be so sexy without the maturity to pull it off. Britney went off the rails and I can remember Kylie when she wanted to be seen as sexy when she was just too young to pull it off.
I hope for Mileys sake she will learn some sense, she will be old soon enough for all this without having to make an exhibition of herself whilst doing it.
I suspect in about 10 years time she will tell people she cringes at that performance and that she wasn't in a particularly good place at the time. If only her people would tell her to put that damn tongue away, it's horrible.

She might have been doing it to blank something out, or because she might not have thought much of herself at that time. She has admitted to having bipolar. Maybe this was one of her hyperactive episodes.
Mick Jagger used to leap about with his tongue hanging out but at least the music was good. Miley, also leaping about with her tongue hanging out, has obviously realised that music, has nothing to do with making the money and has worked out that all she needs to do is be a bit more 'daring' than most others.
I remember seeing Katy Perry on tv singing, ' I kissed a girl and I liked it'. Wow- that was daring !. Zzzz. I can't work out what age group that sort of cutey softy- porny ooh look at me rubbish is aimed at. Yuk.
What great role models these women aren't.No,not because they might be a bit 'naughty'. OK..be, a good burlesque dancer if that's popular, you look good and can do it well but please- don't look awful and be useless at it and don't call it music. It's dishonest and pathetic, even if it does, make loads of money.

Pop star acts hypersexual in an industry than demands women be hypersexual in order to make it to the top...why is everyone suddenly so outraged???? I don't get it.

Unless it's Miley's way of wanting to create the most sexual image possible.

Totally this.
You do realise she's bipolar? These 'disgusting' episodes could be because she's having a hyperactive episode due to her condition.
I have known of many bipolar people who do not waggle their tongue around like the tongue has a mind of it's own.
Sometimes disgusting behaviour is just that, and whether a person has an illness or some sort of condition is irrelevant.
