Number 1 will always be Black Beauty. Makes me want to gallop around my house whipping my arse with an imaginary crop :o

    Macgyver

80's tastic. I have it on my ipod. Makes me want to foil the baddies with a paperclip and some bubble gum.

And not forgetting Jem. The soundtrack to Saturday mornings.

Here's a list of what I can think of right now:

    All the Star Treks.

    All the CSIs.

    The A-Team (both versions)

    Airwolf (especially season 3).

    Water Rats.

    Knight Rider.

    Taggart (original).

    Stargate: SG-1.

    Stargate: Atlantis.

    NCIS.

    JAG.

    Quantum Leap.

BBC/Sky Sports show jumping theme (A Musical Joke by Mozart).

    Black Beauty.

    Bones.

    Third Watch.

    Sea Patrol.

    Xena: Warrior Princess.

    The Equalizer.

    Lexx.

    Farscape.

    Battlestar Galactica (origianl).

    Six Feet Under.

    LA: Law

The Lost World (really bad show, but fantastic theme tune).

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

    Angel.

All five seasons of Babylon 5.

    The Lone Ranger.

    Lois and Clark.

    The Equalizer

    Psych (and all its variations).

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

    The West Wing.

    Heartland (Canadian).

    The 4400.

    NYPD Blue.

I know, I watch/have watched too much TV!! Also, if any of you want mp3 files of any of the above, let me know, and I will send them to you (hopefully I'm allowed to offer such a thing on here). I made a theme tune CD, so most of them are good quality.

There are others I like, but don't have. They are:

    Boon.

    Bewitched.

    Drop the Dead Donkey.

Alias (I really liked the faster version as used in later seasons).

    Follyfoot.

    M*A*S*H.

    Land of the Giants.

    Dexter.

Some amazing choices. Sitting nodding my head in agreement. :)

A couple of spookier choices - Children of the Stones, 1981 Day of the Triffids and Chocky.

    And for the sheer 80s nostalgia-Terrahawks. :)

Loved the Double Deckers, as I loved double decker buses, and going on the top deck of them, when I was little. I thought the idea of having your own bus and warehouse, to hang out in, was just so cool, and thought the theme tune was brilliant.

Baba O'Riley, by The Who :)

I liked the Twin Peaks theme, and the Law & Order (original series) theme. But generally, I like shows with very short opening themes - I just want to get to the program itself.

I wonder how everyone's results would differ to now if Mainstream and Production Music were banned and only In House Music counts towards this discussion. :D

Well since this thread is in UK TV Shows why hasn't this been moved to general broadcasting yet for every country? Makes more sense as US theme tunes are said in here as well.

    Love, love love...

    The Professionals
    The 4400
    Hawaii Five O

HATE with a passion that is almost unreasonable - White Horses (for some reason as a child the programme together with the theme tune struck me as all kinds of strange, odd and a little bit scary - why? I have no idea, but the feeling still persists to this day!!!)

Hawaii Five O - One of the greatest theme tunes ever.

There was a move to change it with the new series but I'm so glad they didn't.

The original Starsky & Hutch theme that was used for the pilot episode & in the early days; not the more famous & well known theme used later on.
