Been having a very HARD CANDY day......sounds so fresh for summer days, so many memories with the album I lvoe the themes across the album and how she nailed her higher pitches...I also love the production mix of tribal/afrikaan rhythms some retro pop/disco vibes and synthpop....very fresh
And who knows? Maybe she will be promiting summer long? we shall soon see.
Does anyone think there is a Stevie Nicks vibe to the lyrics of Messiah? Like the references to sorcerers and magic? I've always wanted Madonna to do a Stevie inspired look with long wavy blonde hair and flowing gypsy like dresses? What do you think? It would be a little different for her. Stevie is to me one of the most iconic female performers. The other day I heard Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac in a store. It moves me everytime. I think it's one of the great songs of all time.
I love STevie.....I think M would definitely rock that spiritual/witchcraft influenced melody....In fact Witch House is an area i would have adored M to cover as a genre (a la grimes/Charli XCX styles) and potentially still could have?
I would adore Madonna to have a tougher imagery influenced with the next era and album....Mind you she could nail that in a dress too...battle armour :-) love her looks of late....I am so very excited.

Yes, I'm really liking this whole witchcraft/magic/supernatural idea. I think it's a great imagery for her to explore that she hasn't done too much of before.
I really like this artist Zola Jesus. She has explored those kind of darker and more magical type of themes. She has a new album Taiga coming out this fall. She has a great new single Dangerous Days, which is more pop and accessible than some of her stuff and which I could actually see Madonna singing.
Lykke Li is another who kinda explores these themes and turning into the Pop world...she eatured on David Lynch (yes the director/filmmaker) last album on a bonus track which was very Twink Peak-ish :-))) I can see M exploring these themes.
Loved seeing the image of M and Yoko at the grammys earlier this year :-) really had me thinking YEAHS this is the year Madonna will just go all out there...and I truly hope so!

Yes, I thought the album would be finished by now. I read that Diplo has some dub versions of their songs that he may play at his dj gigs so they must be done. It would be great if she did a festival, but isn't festival season almost over? But I guess there's still time for her to do something. She doesn't come to London too much anymore so something must be up.

well we all know madge is rather careful when it comes to money, so that didn't surprise me tbh.:D it does sound like she was behaving like a bit of diva, but perhaps the kids were booked in a separate class due to lack of availability in first class, who knows. her behaviour was hardly in the same league as naomi campbell for instance though.:D

He said he only managed to get her to sing one of her hit sbecause they have been hitting it hard in the studio...sounds really fun she seems to be having so much fun with who she is recording with which i love! Makes for great chemistry.
Ok and then we have had the London gospel Choir singing on MESSIAH as she shwocased two days ago with Ariel Rechtshaid there snapping pics off of the session....that is INSANE...so so glad he is heavily involved too :-) and those that lsitened out...the last second showcased the sound/direction of MESSIAH it sounds like it will be very uptempo driven ....lovely sneaky peaky ;-)
Also various sites the past month now have compiled a "what we know so far" NME, Attitude, Q now Digital Spy today...so yeah we are slowly but surely hitting fever pitch.....really cannot wait for more teasers...it sounds as though we are getting very close to it but a little while to go yet.

Hmmmmmmm MESSIAH debut late August live performance?? Lady gaga did with Applause and Katy Perry did with Roar as a main promo event....would be great to see her on her homeland...MTV and showcase what a real pop music event will be :-D and with masses of audiences watching it is quite the way to do it and really easily enter this current era :-)

Madonna ahs more than proven herself and knowing these music buyers.....they will lap it up if it is broadcasted to them large scale anyway :-) relevance is in the eye of the beholder...if you arent a fan why would you rate it when its not marketed to your tastes you know?

I dont think she is "going conservative" that isnt really "Madonna" but she has worn dresses like these before inbetween eras or tour dates and eprformances etc so i think of it as no different...she is not performing or anything so it is more "casual" i guess which is cool and chillout :-)
