I think it's about time to contribute some more songs, otherwise this excellent thread will drop too far down the thread list and possibly be forgotten about.
Wondrous Place by Billy Fury
Billy Fury had some very big hits in the early sixties. I’m amazed to discover that this superb track was not one of them, getting no higher than 25 in the UK singles chart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGPbA9E8yy0
Warm Of The Sun by the Beach Boys
I believe this was the B-side to the 1964 single Dance, Dance, Dance which failed to chart in the UK, which means that this brilliant song definitely qualifies for this thread. I know it’s been said a thousand times before, but I’ll say it again: Brian Wilson is an absolute genius! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_TcWUslfvE
Erm, can't really remember the song, which was why I was after the band name, but, I remember it sounding almost 90's Alternative Rock. Had a few strange (for it's time) sounds in. It was guitar based if I remember correctly, not heavy metal, but a lot heavier than more of the 60's guitar pop bands.
That's really all I know, a long show I know but thanks for helping.
Only one I can think of at the Moment is Gun - Race With The Devil

Dr. Steven Sorenson plans to tap the geothermal energy of the Earth's interior by means of a thermonuclear device detonated deep within the Earth. Despite dire warnings by fellow scientist Ted Rampian, Dr Sorenson proceeds with the experiment after secretly learning that he is terminally ill. This experiment causes a crack to form and grow within the earth's crust, which threatens to split the earth in two if it is not stopped in time.
Its quite a good film and here it will be out on DVD very soon finally as it has not been on TV since the 90s.

I've You Tube'd it and can only find a modern punk band though. Unless there was a band called Gob back then?
