No way someone that says "If you like it should put a ring on it", shaking their bootie half naked should be allowed on this list.:D
And Britney, and Burke, Alba:eek: why?
PJ Harvey is my choice, but i do not want her on a list with those people.:D
Beyonce is a good role model for teens, she has worked all her life to get where she is, sings empowering songs and has talent.
Britney has been through hell and back, anyone that has been through what she has deserves to be on this list, she has shown people how to pick yourself back up once you've hit rock bottom.
Alexandra is there because she get's bullied by the media and the public, people think its ok to call her ugly and she still rises above it and stays confident.
I don;t udnerstand your problem, this is supposed to be a list of strong women, all those women are strong and empowering so worthy of being included.
Dame Maggie Smith JK Rowling
Ann Hathaway
Emma Stone
Tina Fey
Michelle Obama
Demi Lovato (to an extent; she's a young woman whose dealt with a lot of body image issues which I can strongly and very much relate to so perhaps that contributes to me thinking she's a strong person).
Judi Dench
Helena Bonham Carter Catherine Tate
Agree with the bolded and PJ Harvey, and must add Pink.
Catherine Tate is not only good at comedy but also quite a decent actress
Not sure I'd agree here - am not sure a truly strong woman would stay with a serial adulterer
On the one hand i kinda agree on the other I've always felt that their relationship and its rules and history etc is between them. Not everyone defines a successful and happy relationship as being sexually faithful. They clearly have a bond on an intellectual level, a love of public service and public office - these they share totally. She had major input into his presidency as his confidant and advisor. Perhaps this is more important to her than Monica et al ?
Just had a thought - what about Mary Beard? She's been so strong in the face of some vile personal attacks and even though I don't agree with what she said on Question Time, she has every right to say it without facing the bullying she's had to endure. She is obviously highly intelligent and an expert in her study of the romans. I like her a lot. Very dignified lady.
I like her too - she has a human touch and a sense of humour which makes her programs entertaining as well as informative. I don't know what she was on QT but it seems she gets flack for daring not to glamourous or trying to look beautiful - a cardinal sin often in the eyes of the media - but as a scruff myself I rather like her for that.
I'm sure I can think Iof more. There's a lot of fantastic women out there, unfortunately the media doesn't often focus on them.
Thats definitely true, all of these are supposedly amazing women and I have probably only heard of 10 of them and out of those ten, most of them I have just heard their names but don't know much about their accomplishments however I know lots about chantelle, kerry Katona, the towie, mic lot even though i havent seen them shows just through reading the paper. They should focus more on these women in these lists people are posting as the ones I have mentioned are not good role models at all.
