Big shock for me today was Alan Smith doing the QPR game. Does this mean it will be Davie Provan tomorrrow night? I'd be delighted if it was but I still can't help think Sky might be toying with us! Hard to know who else it could be though - Quinn and Smith have already had live games and Neville will be in the studio one presumes.
It would be a great appointment if it is Provan; I've said for a while I think he and Tyler are Sky's best pairing. It seems a bit of a strange turnaround though, considering Provan has generally not covered the bigger matches if he suddenly gets 2 consecutive Manchester United games. Maybe they're 'testing him out' seeing as the title race is all but over?

Maybe it will be Quinn tomorrow?
Not saying it will be - I think it's quite a hard one to guess - but I think there's a reasonable chance it could be Quinn.

I agree I think it will be Quinn tomorrow, must admit I would of had Provan down for today with Smith tomorrow but there again you never know.....would be a great surprise if it was Davie Provan.

It's very unusual for a co-commentator to get 2 games on the same weekend though (when Sky only have 3 games.) Had Sky wanted to use Quinn tommorow night I'd have thought it would be Provan yesterday. I gues it could be to compensate if Quinn was due to do the Southampton V Chelsea game last week.
I don't now think it will be Quinn tomororw though. Provan is the favourite for me.

As did Ian... the final is taking place at Livingston's ground.

Ah, that means today's paper (which I was quoting) was wrong.
Odd timing to be honest.

Not really.
The first weekend in April is a very common date for people to retire, for obvious tax reasons.
I think it's more likely, as the FF was Saturday...
So, in conclusion, no one in the English media had a clue where the game was being played.
I believe it was actually John Anderson on the world feed, John Roder was commentating on Rennes v PSG at that time.
