Is Bernadette Peters a good singer?

I was watching the Olivier Awards and I noticed Bernadette Peters sining Sondheim, and I just wanted to know what other people thought of her, I found her voice a bit "whiney" and I am unsure if it is a me thing!!! or if she is not a very good singer, any input on this ?

    She is a brilliant singer. If you follow US theatre then you will know Bernadette peters is pretty much a legendary theatre actress. Alongside Patti Lupone to name a few. Maybe her voice isn't up to scratch to how it was years ago due to age.
