This starts next Thursday at 10pm, but if you're connected to On Demand the first episode is available now.

It's in the Library section under Recently Added, but only in SD, for HD it's under All.

This show should be good hoping its not cancelled; think I'll wait for Thursday as I already have so many shows to watch. I might as well try and finish some of those and make room for this

    Very enjoyable.

It was amusing to see McCarran airport being just a small shack.

I'm current with the show (up to episode 14 in the US), and I still think the pilot was the weakest episode. From episode 3 it really got into gear, and it is the mob stuff that makes the show. The "murder of the week" that Ralph Lamb investigates is a distraction, not an asset.

Definitely my type of show and enjoyed this.
Pity the US sites like TVbythenumbers claim it is almost certainly cancelled with low ratings.

This is repeated tonight at 8pm. Will it be edited because thought this show would similar to sopranos and have scenes of graphic violence? The trailer makes it seem that way.

There's no graphic violence, at least the way I understand the term, but I have heard that in the UK pre-watershed broadcasts of Buffy The Vampire Slayer have been censored like mad, so who knows what will be done to Vegas.

Anybody recall which two well known films the writer is famous for ?

Pretty sure Goodfellas is one of them.

I thought it was pretty poor. Like a poor tv movie.

The pilot is pretty poor. By episode 3 things pick up. The part of the show that works is the mob side. The homicide investigation of the week can be tiresome.

Just watched the pilot and thought it was canny but room for improvement. Hopefully after reading this thread that improvement will come

Thought some of the acting was poor mind especially from that head biker

Defo going to be sticking with it as it seems it as potential

I thought the pilot was pretty good, not brilliant but enjoyable enough. The last few American tv shows I have watched are Sopranos, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad so its always gonna struggle to compete with that. Plus its a CBS production rather than HBO so right away I had a feeling it would not be as good as say Boardwalk which is the newest of the shows I mentioned. Glad to hear things pick up in a few episodes and I will definitely be sticking with it.

Has it been getting a good response Stateside? Didnt want to search too much into it incase I stumbled across any spoilers.

It will likely not get a second season. The ratings in the age 18-49 demographic (which are really all that matter in US commercial TV) are low and not up to the usual standard CBS wants in order to renew a show for another season. The show is popular with people over 50, but advertisers do no care about that age group.

Thought the pilot was just about watchable , but too many lucky coincidences for my liking but it's early days .

Not as much eyecandy as imwas expecting ( or hoping for) and what's going on with Carrie-Anne Moss legs ?

She should have been cast as a cowboy , I've never seen such a bow legged woman in all my years of ogling :)

She's also got the widest hips I've ever seen - she's a god damn freak of nature plus they seem to dress her to accentuate her odd shape .

Could she have suffered some real life injury? I noticed a scene in the pilot where she walks down 5 or so steps and is grimacing.

And no smoking in this series? Vegas casinos today are full of smoke, yet its 1960 in this series and not a single cigarette?

Enjoyed the pilot, but can't help wondering where it will all go, not sure if the series has legs past 1 or 2 seasons.

On another note, I did think it is similar to "Justified" hard nosed cowboy type bringing "law and order old style" to the masses.

I am sure the network forbade any depiction of smoking. Last year, the 1960's-set Pan Am, on a different network, was not allowed to show any smoking, because of a network policy against it.

    Deadwood beats them all.

Just caught up with the last two episodes and I really liked them. I am sad to hear it is not doing well in the ratings but I can see why is has so trouble.
It will be compared with cable shows.
The Sopranos or Boardwalk Empre due to the mob connection.
Mad Men due to both being set in the 1960s.
The Shield as Michael Chiklis was brilliant as Vic Mackey and also steals the show here, great to see him again.

Brave move to attempt such a show given these comparisons will be made. A bit like when they did Commander in Chief, it was always going to be compared to the West Wing. CiC wasn't great but when compared to TWW is looked terrible.
Vegas seems pretty good for a network show. It's an unfair comparison to judge it against the Cable shows. Hopefully the ratings are just enough to survive another season.
