LOL as soon as her voice kicked in it had a welcoming familiarity
Voyage and Voyage and John are easily two of my favourite 80s songs
This isn't half bad either - a little less genuinely synthy and more 90s+ techno that I would have liked traditionally, but still perfectly galvanic with a generous layer of old-school charm. Reminds me rather of Grace in fact, who were a thoroughly decent compromise between the two styles
As a kid at the time I really wasn't sure if she was a woman or not! Think it was the hair and the rather strikingly jawed profile
Her new album has a version of John on it, great reboot. :-)
I loved Desireless in the 1980's. The video for "Voyage Voyage" was the epitomy of individualism and cool in its' oddness. I had the 12" singles of both that and "John". I still have the CD album "Francois" with both tracks on that I bought in the late 1980's when CD albums cost a small fortune. I still listen to it and like all the songs.
I like this new track. When is the new album coming? Do you know anything about it?
as I mentioned on here a few weeks ago, I developed a bit of an infatuation for Desireless. I bought her François album, mainly for the Voyage Voyage remix but was surprised by just how fabulous it was, especially the track John.
ordered my copy of the album yesterday. Received a nice little thank you message from Claudie but I don't speak French so haven't a clue what she's on about.

I'll be buying it
Just noticed that track posted by OP is a track from an EP she released last year ( http://desireless.bandcamp.com/album/loeuf-du-dragon)but it looks like she's also got a new album coming out too.
