Track list and release date (9th September):

I personally can't wait for "Together Or Not At All - The Song Of Amy And Rory". One of the most beautiful pieces if music I've heard in a long time.
I'm sure there are other good track in there too, but I'll have to listen to them first.

I'm the same. It's the track I'm definitely most looking forward to for sure. The version or bit we heard at the Prom this year was lovely, so let's hope the soundtrack one is as good too!
Still, there was a fair bit from Series 7 worth having A shame The Snowmen seems to be missing from the track listing... there was some great stuff in that one.
I'm personally looking forward to Goodbye Pond...it was an understated piece of brilliance... really got the tragedy of Amy's exit
Looking forward to the music from The Rings of Akhaten the most from series 7, the episode wasn't great, but the music was fabulous.

Some tracks in there I didn't even notice on TV - A Town Called Mercy has some great bits.
I do think the 7B line up is a bit poor though. There's a tonne of short cues from The Bells of Saint John that I don't care for, whilst pieces from Hide and The Name of the Doctor that aren't on there - the music playing in River's final scene is beautiful but is absent from both Series 6 and Series 7
Hmmm.....bear in mind that music and variations of are used across a lot of episodes, so some episodes don't have that much actual new stuff. I know in the past Gold has pointed out often pieces of music people say are missing have actually appeared on a prior soundtrack in one form or another. The reason The Majestic Tale got added as a bonus track last year was because Gold thought a variation had been on the series 5 soundtrack when it happened so it was added at the last minute when it was pointed out to him it wasn't.
Also, those CD's are both pretty long. There is a maximum length that they can actually be and I suspect its pretty near the max. Appreciate you might not care for some of the music from Bells but thats a subjective thing. I'm pretty sure it is Gold who chooses the music that makes the cut, and he will know in his mind what pieces of music best reflect his vision I suppose.
But looks here that they haven't included series 7B's Theme Tune i want it in HQ not some crappy YouTube rip
All very true... and I just hope there are plenty of people who appreciate the cues from Bells. For me, this is still definitely better than the Series 6 selection, it's just there was only one track from the entire RTD era that I wanted that never made it to the OST's whilst there's been multiple tracks from the past two releases... a personal niggle, really
Ironic considering we had only one cd for the whole of series 1 and 2 and only single discs for series 3 and 4 Maybe because you prefer Golds music in more recent years though?
Only 1:28
It is ironic, yes
And maybe... I'm not sure. I think some of his individual themes were better in the RTD era, but he is better now at getting the score to mesh in with the story... episode's now have a much more personalised score to them
Yeah I would agree the scores do feel more cohesive now. I think the scores have overall been stronger since series 5 onwards, but certainly there were plenty of stand out individual scores in the earlier post 2005 years, All The Strange Strange Creatures is a particular favourite of mine.
Oh, and I'll stick up for the S6 soundtrack on here! For me, it's got the best mix of genres any DW soundtrack has ever had and has a wonderful variety about it. That and the S5 soundtrack are tied as my favourites, but out of the two, I do listen to the S6 one more...

'Gunslinger' is also superb - it can be pieced together from Town Called Mercy & Cold War HERE & HERE. Would love to hear it in full.
finger clicking good
Turns out on re-listening to the Series 6 soundtrack today - it was a score re-used from Let's Kill Hitler - so win win!
No Puppet attack music from Asylum Gunslingers is still superb. As is much of it, for that matter - as always. A Turbulent Flight is suitably bonkers.
Does anyone know if the music played when they enter the TARDIS and play bits of the Doctor's past in The Name Of The Doctor?
No doubt there was some amazing music in series 1 - 4 but the soundtracks were much more in the mould of a Greatest Hits compilation than proper soundtracks, because they were much more limited in terms of the music from the series they actually featured. Series 1 and 2, for example consisted of one single CD for two full series of music.
More recent releases, with being double CD's have been much closer to being complete (although of course there will still be bits that don't make the cut), so for me they feel much more cohesive.
I also personally feel Gold seems more confident and creative with the music as he progresses, with more music written to fit the style and scope of individual episodes.
