I'd like them to try a more conventional Bond villain in the next film. Silva just wanted revenge on M, Le Chiffre was just trying to make his money back and the less said about the QoS villain the better...
Obviously a villain like Blofeld wouldn't really work in the Craig era - but my hope is that the next Big Bad will be more of a threat to the world.
I'd like Bond to deal with a real threat. So far, in Craig's films (which I love, btw) the scenarios have been;
1. Try and bring in a terrorist financier for questioning;
2. Try and bring in a more important criminal for questioning, whilst undermining his plot to become a water board monopoly in Bolivia;
3. Recover a list of undercover agents, whilst protecting M from an assassin.
We need Bond to have a situation where real lives are at risk if he doesn't save the day. Rather than just have him trying to gain intel on terrorist organisations, why not have him deal with an actual terrorist plot? We need to up the threat level in the next film. Bond needs a villain who is trying to cause real, immediate harm and if Bond fails, a lot of people will die.

BUT still retain the darker gritty feel of the Craig films - I dont want a return to camp please.

Because we live in a post 24 world. 24 may not have been perfect, but it was mostly very good at what it did. Anyone trying to do something similar is always likely to come off second best. We already have people moaning about the similarities between Bond and Bourne, do we really need them moaning that Bond is too similar to Bour?
...but hey, if you can't beat them why not join them...how about a Bond/24 crossover movie?

I think you make an excellent point, quite agree, they need to raise the stakes next time on more seismic level but keep it grounded
And Sean Connery, who was in the 1953 Mr Universe competition was not considered a beefcake back in his day? Even Lazenby had a decent physique on him.
For me its not whether it has more gadgets or more humour or is more gritty etc. these are just aspects which can be good or bad .
so gadgets for instance - Aston Martin - great , invisible car - sh1t .
I would like to see Craig's Bond enjoy himself more , I mean he gets to kill bad guys ,drive fast cars blow things up and shag beautiful girls , whats he being so grumpy for !!
Well, quite simply, some intelligent gadgets - but straying away from sci-fi.
Oh, and it also would be nice to see a plot that strays away from the middle-east. I get a bit bored of that type of place. A plot in, say, Paris would be a nice change.

I would love them to do a bond film set in the cold war ( fantasy ) like a period bond movie haha
Why not?
He's a beefcake. That's not who James Bond is.

Yet Casino Royale was pretty much the most true Bond film adaption in the history of the screen franchise.
Send him to Syria or Korea. Maybe have him deep undercover investigating China's latest weaponary developments.
This would be great - especially if he did it in a gondola/hovercraft type thing.

Really daft point you made, sorry.
A meglomaniac villain. We have had the personal stuff now we need a good old fashioned meglomaniac villain, with a nice big lair hidden in a volcano!

And have the counter on the nuclear warhead stop at 007..........
...and it's been a while since Bond has gone into space
Would like to see Daniel struggling more with the age thing, and struggling with the aftermath of what happened at the end of Skyfall.
