During promo for TNA in the UK, Hogan was telling everyone TNA was the No. 1 wrestling company in the world, and the IWC were crucifying him for it.
You can't win. If you say you're No. 1, people laugh, and if you say you're No. 2, it's practically admitting defeat. The best thing for TNA to do is to style themselves as the plucky underdogs, ECW style. I remember hearing TNA chants at One Night Stand 2005; you don't get that sort of thing anymore. TNA have tried to copy WWE from top to bottom, a ludicrous and impossible task given the huge advantages of exposure and budget that WWE has. They'd be better regaining that hardcore, ECW style following and rebuilding slowly from there.
Well a lot of the Internet audience are going to crucify Hogan regardless.
TNA doesn't have to say it's no.1, but just not talk like it's no.2.
To me, TNA have already passed many aspects of ECW. TV Deal and talent roster being two of them. They need to the their own company. Focus on the the things that stand them apart. X-Division and fresh talent etc.
They are great though, how she hasn't fallen out of any of those tops yet I don't know. Dammit!!
Not seen this weeks Impact yet, am a little behind but will probably see it in the next couple of days. I don't know any spoilers for the next tapings for a change so looking forward to seeing what happens.

Like a 6-sided ring? Oh wait....
I've not been anywhere near as interested in TNA since then. Something that made them completely unique and they went and followed the norm instead - arguably not picking up any significant new fans to show for it.

Jeff Hardy didn't work the Impact tapings last night as he had "food poisoning".
Hmm.
I can't honestly imagine it's drug related. He'd be by far and away the world's biggest idiot if it was. If you believe what you read, he's been working quite hard to rebuild the trust with people again and it's been working. I'm sure he's also become a father as well because I remember reading an interview with him a few months ago where he did genuinely seem to have his head in a good place.
I'd strongly disagree. 6-sided ring encouraged grappling, technical wrestling as it done away with the ultimate wrestling cliche of using the ropes to bounce people off every two seconds. I hate it when they whip someone into the ropes and then bend down to get kicked in the face, very few wrestlers have the timing to pull that off convincingly.
Just had a look at spoilers for the next few weeks (don't worry, won't post them here), and all I'll say is that they look like a total clusterf**k. Some absolutely bizarre booking with no progression that just smacks of Bischoff taking the reigns.

The 6 sided ring did make them different to a US audience, but to me it seemed a bit kiddy like. I'm just used to the traditional 4 sided ring. If I grew up in Mexico, I'm sure I would feel different.
Personally, the content on the show is what matters. Considering some of the rubbish they put on during periods of the 6 sided ring years, they could have wrestled in a cardboard box and it wouldn't have changed anything.

A lot of those guys who were good, were in and out of ECW pretty quickly. A lot of the other guys weren't very good.
There was a reason outside of style that ECW used to have those wrestling with music highlight videos. A lot of the guys weren't very good, so Heyman did music videos to push their strengths and hide their weaknesses.
Guys like Dreamer, Sandman and Raven couldn't wrestle for shit, as Paul Heyman himself admits on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD.
Heyman's genius was that he was able to take someone who was a total nobody and get them over to the extent that the big promotions took an interest. It's still arguable that there is nobody better than Heyman at doing that, which is why, as a creative mind, he is in many ways what TNA needs.
Just keep him away from finances and anything to do with the business side of things.
read his 2nd book again recently, he basically told vince your creative will suck whilst steph is in charge,i cant see that changing thus cant see russo going wwe.
TNA have a new Indian language show which has been on for a few months on the colorstv YouTube. It's called Ring Ka King although I don't watch it yet because can't be bothered.
If Challenge TV get the rights to make a decent English translated commentary version for UK television like they do with Takeshsi's Castle and Ninja Warrior only with real Indian's talking in English for the commentary I can see it doing well here because it has loads of character apparently.

It's a very old school product, in terms of characterisation and storylines.

None of them are really bad. Personally, I like the Monday Night Wars one, Heatseekers and Important Moments. Bad Asses is good as well.

Don't think anyone would be willing to fund it though.
