Games that make you feel sick?
Anybody else get this?
Just started playing Dead Island: Riptide and I can't play it for more than about an hour without getting a headache and starting to feel sick.
I haven't played a lot of games recently but I could happily play Far Cry 3 for hours (and hours, and hours) without any problems.
It just seems like, once in a while, a game comes along and there's something about it that makes me nauseous.
Worst I'd ever got it, previously, was with the LucasArts Jedi Knight games but Riptide seems even worse.
I can't really put my finger on what causes it but I think it might be something to do with the field-of-view or the perspective.
It all just feels a bit "narrow", somehow; like I'm playing the game with blinkers on, or looking through the middle of a loo roll.
Anybody else get this, or know how to cure it?

4:40 in video.
Now most First Person Shooters are a problem. Saves a lot of money not buying them when at one time every other game release seemed to be one.

I find it but I don't get the issue with Killzone games as they are slower turning speed
I then read somewhere that taking a tablet of root ginger (from health food shop) would help. Tried it and it really does work for me. Can spend a good few hours now playing and no sick feeling! Happy Dad and Happy Son
(Have any of u guyz tried travel sickness tablets that could possibly help)
Nice to know it's not just me.
When you're playing you don't really notice it until you, erm, actually notice it.
When he showed that comparison between the standard 60° FOV and the modified 90° FOV it was like a breath of fresh air.
I couldn't even watch that video for more than about 10 minutes without starting to feel sick.
I had another go of the game last night and I could barely manage 15 minutes.
