At what age did you start watching?

Well there'll be another mini-whovian added to the ranks in April. My other half has ruled out every Who related name I've suggested but she can't stop little bump being a fan. It's a fixed point.
I'm already in the bad books due to my 4 year old daughter knowing half the answers on the Pointless Who special, not to mention her dinner time spaghetti-Ood impressions.
The missus thinks 4 year old is too young to watch Who but I absolutely love cuddling up on the settee with Lily to watch it and it's added a whole new perspective to the show for me. I'm far less critical and more 'along for the ride'. When Lily was asked by her mum if she found it scary she just answered "It's make believe Mummy". A better grasp of the show than a lot of adult fans then?
Do my fellow Whovians think 4 is too young and at what age did you start to watch the show?
Oh, and how cool are these Doctor Who related baby clothes?

Cork City Library. I actually started watching the show by viewing the
BBC2/UK Gold repeats when I was 13.
Doctor, and there are also some fans who can still remember watching when
William Hartnell was the Doc.
Who'd be the Doctors that most people started watching the show with? My guess
is Jon, Tom and David.
Aha! seems i was 7 years old. I may have watched some prior to that, but that's my first clear memory of watching Who
I remember seeing some of the Sylv stories advertised, but we had only one TV back then, and my parents ensured
that any show that clased with "Coronation Street" or
the soccer match was out of bounds.
Edit: exactly eight years ago today!
It's amazing to think how much we've had over the last 8 years - 3 doctors, several companions, brand new and old enemies and a whole universe of adventure
Long may it continue
my hubby is a Jon Pertwee one and he'd be around 4 or 5
I was about 12/13
