The PX5 will certainly be more feature-rich: bluetooth, voice disquising (troll tool) etc.... But the Pulse set looks better for me, and has a built-in mic.... it depends what you want, Personally I don't use headsets so I'm the worst person to be contributing to this thread!

I have heard reports that the pulse can be uncountable to wear for some people, especially people who wear glasses so take that into consideration.
Another plus for TB is that it works with the 360 and PC too if that's important for you.
Both headsets seem very good around the £100 mark and you would probably be happy with either, I just know from personal experience that the TB headset is great and mine isn't the 7.1 version. You also get a really nice plastic carry/storage case with it and a really long USB cable for charging.
Thanks for all the replies, and it's more for sound quality than chatting,
I don't know about the Sony Headset but the Turtle Beach has excellent sound quality, I use it rather than the TVs speakers now as it helps me in FPS games.
The mic is fantastic too, I play multiplayer games with mates and we can chat away for ages with no breakup or anything.
I have the original Sony wireless headset and its fantastic. Excellent sound quality, has good mic, it's wireless, so easy to set up. Has built in chargeable batteries that last and does not take long to charge

I have that and it's awful compared to the turtle beach headset, sorry
My mates have all changed from that (was free with socom) to a TB headset and games are so much better, it's easier to hear everyone and they can hear me better,

I'm talking about the headset. The Sony wireless stereo headset. The one released before the pulse that cost about £80 before
Got the Turtle Beach PX5 and they are excellent. No more wires everywhere like my previous set of Tritton AX Pro's.
They have various presets but i'm happy with the standard preset

After reading all the advice I've got hold of some PX5's from Zavvi for £97.
Am I best off buying rechargeable batteries for the headset and how long will I get out of a fully charged up set?
Thanks for all the advice Gormond and others, got the PX5's in the end, loving them, makes the Black Op's game and such like that much better. Wouldn't be without them now.

I use the PX3 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtle-Beach-Licensed-Force-Headset/dp/B005EEMXYI/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1353231641&sr=8-10 which costs £55 (I managed to find them at £30)
You can however also get the better PX5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtle-Beach-Programmable-Wireless-Headset/dp/B004R9Q1IA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1353231641&sr=8-4 which are £110

Yeah it looks quite good but going by reviews I wouldn't personally buy it over a PX5.

If its like the PX3s it uses a built in litium battery, you just charge with a USB cable like you do with PS3 controllers.
I used to have the old version & thought it was really good and I'd expect this to be an improvement on it too
