Hard to knock any of those choices except James Bond in Space aka Kirk was never very fond of him and I don't know who Benedict Hope is. Several are on my list including Picard, Data, Snape, and all the Buffy/Angel ones bar Xander (who is a good character but was just never one of my favs although I can appreciate others for whom he was a fav) - Joss Weeden is a master at creating great characters I also loved Willow and Wesley a lot. The same goes for George R R Martin - the Game of Thrones series is loaded with great characters - especially love the Lainster brothers, Arya Stark, Brianne of Tar and Denarys.
From the Potterverse Neville Longbottom is a great character I love his development from dweeb to snake assassin.
Nice to see so many literary characters here - Also love Jo Marsh and Darcy and Rochester but their better halves are both fantastic characters indeed I'd say I have more love for them than for the guys themselves. I'll also throw some love for the couple of ruthless rogues that are Scarlett and Rhett too and their friend the underated Melanie.
I'm glad someone else loves Master Samwise too and Golem in all his pathetic evil glory is fasinating.
