Tamera's Past. Why is it being overlooked by producers?

I've just come across this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2455253/Why-X-Factor-making-idols-thugs-drug-abusers-porn-star.html
I know it's the Daily Mail, but it's quite an interesting read, and it's true what they are saying. The X Factor have thrown contestants out for similar in the past. Emily, Frankie Cocozza anyone? Maybe the lack of talent this year means they don't want to let anyone go?
Oh, and I know it mentions others contestants, but what Tamera has done is far worse than anyone else. Beating up another kid at a train station because she was "jeluz". God, that's classy. Wonder how her victim will feel seeing the person who assaulted her on television every week:rolleyes: She's not even that good FFS, better Leona Lewis my arse!
This program has gone to the dogs.

Frankie wasn't axed for an event in the past.
Also, afaik Tamera has disclosed this to the producers and she has been cleared while Emily's came out of the blue (I'm not sure about this because I never watched series 4).
She wasn't cleared though, she received a caution for it.
Doesn't that mean she's good to go unless she beats up, say, a heckler or a fellow contestant? Also, as previously stated, I'm not sure about the Emily thing.
In any case, the witch hunt for people with shady pasts is unnecessary. We wouldn't have John Lennon, the icon, if you guys had your way.
Your actually comparing someone like John Lennon with a couple of X Factor contestants we'll have provably forgotten about in a years time?
Laughable!
Nor would be have acts like Mary J Blige, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Eminem, Jonny Cash! THE LIST GOES ON!
he is comparing what they did! not their talent! so ur saying if they are REALLY talented it doesn;'t matter. And when they did this they weren't necessarily that famous
So if you were in the late 60s/early 70s and you found out how John Lennon treats people, will you start barking like an idiot that there's something wrong because abusers are getting some fame?
It does matter. Would Tamera have "apologised" to the girl that she attacked if she hadn't made it through to the finals of The X Factor?....
I think we all know the answer to this quesion;)
She could have if it weren't for bullygate.
Alot of people did tbh until the druggie and the OAP said she was a bully
I personally wouldn't support the career of someone who was a thug, not in their recent past anyway. Redemption comes over time, not opportunity and an apology when you look bad isn't an apology at all, its saving face and damage limitation, its for yourself.
I wouldn't admire a local thug so I would be a hypocrit to support one because they are talented or pretty or whatever. I know that view may annoy some people but I don't care, I'm not a hypocrit and I have principals and I won't jeopardise those because some interweb fans think everyone should.
But that's the way it seems to work. If they are your favourite then it doesn't matter, if they aren't then it does. The show does the same, a favourite will be protected and someone who isn't will be booted or come under fire.
They didn't explicitly state she was going to be an International superstar with multiple 1's like you did. She doesn't have the image for that. In today's world you need more than just talent just ask Miley Cyrus.
I do think Tamera will find a level of success though but not GRAMMY success like you've been saying...:):p
You read the Daily Mail and believe every word? What does that say about you?
You also seem to believe that once a person has made a stupid mistake they should pay for it forever?
Wow. What caring, sharing non-discriminatory person you are.
The stories are confirmed though, so while its in the DM they do happen to be true.
Also, people shouldn't pay for it forever however "redemption" and change happen over time, not over night.
As for caring and non discriminatory... Or maybe they simply aren't flippant and hypocritical, making up their standards as it suits them. Who knows?
I'm not going to defend someone who has proven themselves recently to a dick, unsavory, a criminal, violent, immature etc because I wouldn't support anyone who had recently proven themselves as any of those things.
Being on a TV show, having talent or being hot isn't going to change my stance towards someone as that would make me shallow and hypocritical.
But there you go.
Eta: that doesn't mean anyone who supports people who prove themselves to be those things to be a hypocrit, not if they would be complimentary and accepting of the same characteristics in Jane or Bob down the pub.
Did you even bother to read what I'd written properly?
Clearly not or you'd have seen the bit where I started, "I know it' The Daily Mail But....." And if if you bothered to read the other posts you'll see that The Sun also reported this a while ago..
Never mind though, if it makes you feel superior :yawn:
You too? No wonder this country is in such a state.
What?
Because I don't jump up and down in love with people who confirm themselves that they have problems with violence and drug taking...
So, you'd pat the shoulder of some dude kicking the shit out of someone down the street then?
Feeling superior is easy in this context, especially when one works in the media and sees all sides of the picture - and the bias.
I know having an open mind can give you a real headache, but it can make you a better person.
Yes, yes, not supporting bad people makes you a bad person and closed minded. Got it.
Let's cut past the crap, the only reason you are saying that is because you are crushing on one of the aforementioned.
