Songs you love that no-one else has heard of
Thought this thread might be a good way to discover new music.
Basically, all you do is recomend one single track that not a lot of people have heard of, followed by a brief description in which you try and sell it to everyone. That way you can go out and find it if you like the sound of it. It would also be good to post a bit of feedback regarding each other choices too.
Just stick to one track per post please.

I will go for Destiny by Zero 7, an instrumental version of this is used on several TV shows.
It's from the album 'Simple things' which is a superb chill out album:

Okay, my recomendation:
Shea Seger 'Clutch'. Female singer song-writer. Don't think she did too well over here. You can watch the video here.
An instrumental version is used as incidental music on Property Ladder

Songs by Mylo
The best song that the Rolling Stones never recorded.
Everytime I bring it up, no one seems to have heard of it before - even her fans! Any one here know about it?
Released Oct 2000 and only reached No.36 in the charts!
Awesome song!
Tis an album track of course, so there's a reason nobody's heard of it...:D
or
'Our Last Night' by Better Than Ezra
Number 57 for one week in 1996
A lovely, funny song, which more people should have heard. But I think that about most of their songs.

Reached the heady heights of number 41 in May 2005.
Amazing.
The whole "Illinoise" album by Sufjan Stevens is outstanding and one of the best albums in recent years. Some of the most glorious folk-pop you will ever hear. Ever.
Goldfrapp - Pilots
These two are gorgeous bryond words....
Agreed again . Sufjan is a brilliant musician and singer-songwriter, one of the best around imo....even when he's doing Christmas songs. 'Sister Winter' was one of my favourite songs of last year. Xmas songs aren't supposed to be that good! .
Wolf Parade - I'll Believe In Anything

Great choice! i got into Sufjan recently and i love his music.
Martha Wainwright - 'I Will Internalize'
A beautiful, haunting song which also shows how good her voice is....for some strange reason it's only a b-side and wasn't put on her album.
I would like to recommend "We're From Barcelona" by I'm From Barcelona, released 2006, and the promo video is fun too.
I liked that song, got it on a Creation compilation somewhere.......
I guess this thread could get very anal and wilfully obscure.......
So I won't go for anything too unlikely and off the top of my head mention 'Hit The Snow' by The Aislers Set and 'Heart Shaped Box' by The Blue Aeroplanes......
